Just Another Day of Hunting {CLOSED}

The charcoal tom shook his head when a bunch of snow fell on his scarred muzzle. It had been a while since the deputy told him to lead a hunting patrol but he was glad that at least he didn’t have to handle a bunch of noisy apprentices. Even if Lilytail was younger, she was a warrior too and Batfang respected her more because of that.

When they finally arrived the river, the large tom looked back at his clanmates, eager to start. ”We will hunt here. You can fish or catch land prey as you wish. We have no time lose so get your claws ready to work.”

Lilytail nodded and went her seperate way. The warrior soon came across a swimming fish in the river. She unsheathed her claws and quickly stuck a paw in the river. She wasn't willing to risk it getting away. The she-cat hooked it with a claw and threw it out of the water. She grabbed the dead fish and began to try and search for a land critter.

Spotpaw followed the warrior out of camp. Batfang seemed... strict. He stopped to study the warrior as Batfang spoke. "Got it. Hunt whatever, go fast, stay close-ish." He padded towards a stream to catch a fish. He saw a minnow and his quick paw flipped it out of the water, then nipped its neck to kill it.

He nodded to both clanmates before approaching the river. The broken ice was slowly melting now that Leaf-bare was coming to an end but fish was still scarce comparing to the other seasons. However, it was the easiest catch. The tom looked at the water with his body lowered and he waited. When he had the chance, the warrior hit the diss off the water and killed with its fangs when it landed on the shore.

OOC: Omg the dice hates my guts. Imma make it a raccoon so we can get this over with.

IC: Lilytail soon came across a slimy frog. She went into a hunter's crouch and began to creep towards it. The warrior then pounced. The frog hopped away and she bowled into a fat raccoon. She gasped in suprise but went into an attacking pose. She went on her hind legs and slashed at the raccoon's head and face with her unsheathed claws. The raccoon's face was bloodied and scarred.

The raccoon hissed and shook its head with a snarl. He pushed the cat over and grabbed her leg with its jaws and began to shake his head violently. The she-cat squealed in pain, dizzyness causing her to lay there stunned with a pained expression.

Spotpaw's head turned quickly as he heard the sounds of fighting. "Oh, Starclan, a raccoon!" He ran towards it with his full speed and momentum, bowling into it with all of his strength.

Spotpaw used Run and Tackle, dealing 9 damage and using 10 stamina.

The dark spotted warrior dropped the dead fish when he heard Spotpaw’s call and he rushed to the bloody raccoon, hissing with anger. He wouldn’t let it leave... that predator could go to the camp and harm Tinytip. With a battle yowl, the tall warrior jumped toward the animal and slashed its neck with his unsheathed claws. The blood came out like a waterfall as the raccoon’s life slipped away.

He turned his eyes to Lilytail, looking at her wounds. ”We must bring you to the camp. Spotpaw, pick my fish and the prey you caught. I’ll carry the raccoon. Lilytail, can you make to the camp alone?”

Batfang used Front Paw Strike, dealing 11 damage and costing 10 stamina

The she-cat strained a smile and nodded. "Y-Yeah. I'll be f-fine. I'm going to go get my fish." she said while limping away. The warrior soon found her fish and grabbed it. She then began to make her way back to the other two. She was pretty slow but managed to do it.

Spotpaw nodded. He picked up the prey they caught and started towards camp.
