How Should Sweetheart Die?

I've been reading Nettlesting's post and the discussion about the fact that so many cats have been murdered by other cats lately, and even though I've had plans for a long time that Shadekit as an apprentice or warrior would kill Sweetheart -- and possibly Scorchfang -- if he ever found out that he was actually half-Clan (like how Gingerstripe killed Honeydrop) I have to agree with this. So now that Shadekit probably won't be killing Sweetheart directly, I still want him to be the deliberate cause of her death.

What do you think should happen to Sweetheart?

Then I could have a few of these options be accidental, such as the food poisoning idea. Cats have been food poisoned on accident before in the books but that had never been seen as murder.

yeah, but if shadekit was trying to kill her indirectly it would still be murder
the intent is what makes it murder
accidents aren't murder by definition

If someone kills Scorchfang I'll have to sad cats :( And Wolfsong will probably be a little sad that the cat that he trained with as an apprentice dies.. But if she's gonna die I pick food poisoning!

If you are for that "Killed by an enemy cat/fellow Clanmate who was manipulated into killing her", Silverfang is your girl but only if Sweetheart gets exiled one day. Even if she dislikes her, she won't kill her as a clanmate (unless if her leader tells her to do it but I doubt it.)

And I'm curious, how is Shadekit going to find out that he's half-clan?

I'll definitely take that into consideration!

As for how, if not by StarClan revelation then perhaps a RiverClan warrior can take notice that Shadekit looks just like Rowantalon and acts just like Scorchfang when he was younger, and Violetshine of ShadowClan already knows of Scorchfang's and Sweetheart's secret relationship, sonshe could be a cat of interest. Also, Sweetheart was pregnant with Shadekit before Reedclaw became a warrior, so that could be another clue.
Once, or if, the cat finds out, they could tell Ivystar and she would exile Sweetheart, and then Shadekit would heavily despise her.

Well, not looking at the poll, I'm heavily torn between food poisoning and Silverfang killing Sweetheart. But if I decide to use the food poisoning idea, would you like to have Silverfang investigate the truth behind Shadekit's origins? (I'm not sure if that would be a plot that would have to be approved by staff or not. But since you are a staff member maybe you could approve it if that's the case? XD)

Maybe she can start in the Gathering. We can say that she has noticed before that she talked to Scorchfang and she decides to go and talk to him about his relationship with Sweet during the Gathering. In that moment she would see some similatiries with Shadekit but he won't jump to conclusions until she hears a clear confession.

And yes, this have to be approved since there's going to be murder. Send me the form with the cats involved and then we can start ;)

Honestly, I would like to wait until Shadekit is at least out of the nursery as Sweetheart is the only RiverClan queen right now. Perhaps next Gathering Silverfang can begin her investigation?
