Softkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardclaw leaped up onto the Highrock in a single bound, and called out to the clan in a strong, booming voice; "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!"  Another apprentice for ThunderClan would be made today, and the golden spotted tom couldn't be happier.  Despite their troubles, ThunderClan was still growing and becoming stronger.  Despite the fact that he was stepping in for Blizzardstar, the deputy was finally beginning to feel comfortable addressing the clan; he stood confidently tall, waiting for his clanmates to gather round.

The soft furred she kit made her way out of the nursery quietly. Her bright blue gaze looking up at Leopardclaw as she made her way over and sat down.

When most of the clan had gathered below, Leopardclaw's eyes found the pelt he was looking for among the crowd, and smiled.  "Softkit, please step forward."

The soft furred and soft spoke she kit stood slowly on her silvery gray and white paws and padded forward her eyes sparkling as she looked up at the deputy.

Leopardclaw smiled down at the small she-kit, before taking a deep breath and beginning the ceremony.  "Softkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to become an apprentice. From this day forward, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Softpaw."  He paused for a moment, allowing the crowd to cheer for the new apprentice before continuing.  "Your mentor will be Spottedpelt. I have confidence she will pass down all she knows on to you."

Softpaw smiled some and her blue gaze looked around for a moment for her mentor Spottedpelt.

Spottedpelt walked up to softpaw and touched her with her nose. "i will teach you all I know." she said smiling. She smiled at the crowd and her friends. Her daughters where cheering and crowpaw was smiling.
