Whitepaw's Assessment

Leafstorm padded towards the apprentice den, glancing up at the dreary gray sky worriedly. Another storm was on the move, but he had other things to think about. The fluffy tom's vivid green eyes gleamed as he searched for his apprentice. "Whitepaw! C'mon, it's time for your assessment." His apprentice had been doing well, and he was sure she'd do excellently.
The large tom padded towards the camp entrance, his tufted ears twitching as he searched for signs of prey.

Whitepaw hauled tail to the entrance of camp where Leafstorm was waiting for her. She was excited to finally get her assessment out of the way.

Leafstorm grinned as Whitepaw raced forward, flicking his ears as they walked into the forest. "We've gone over your hunting assessment before, but just in case you forgot anything, I'll tell you again. You have until sundown to complete your assessment. I will follow you and remain hidden throughout your assessment. To complete your assessment, you must catch three different pieces of prey. Feel free to start whenever you're comfortable." He mewed warmly.

Whitepaw waited for Leafstorm to finished his instructions and she set off.  She scented a squirrel and saw the tree rodent sitting on a low hanging branch and launched herself at it.  She landed on the ground on the other side of the branch with the squirrel in her jaws.  

She buried the squirrel in the snow and tried to find another scent of prey.  She spotted a mouse scurrying into a bush and followed it.  She heard rustling and knew that it was still in the bush.  She crouched and flew into the bush, and resurfaced with the mouse lifeless in her teeth.

A bird was hopping around on the ground and wasted no time pouncing on it and delivered a lethal bite.

Whitepaw sat with the bird and mouse at her paws, and waited for Leafstorm to appear to retrieve the squirrel.
