"Good! And here I was, thinking that you two were a tad bit too boring for my taste- what a pleasant surprise. Now the real test is to see if you can keep up!" Adderpaw crowed, flashing a playful wink at Heronpaw and Scorchpaw for good measure. Finally something interesting! Although Viperstorm would probably have her pelt if she heard that her apprentice lost a silly little hunting contest to some other cat. Spinning around, the dusky colored she-cat eagerly circled Lavenderpaw and Minnowslip, her bright eyes flashing with interest as she listened to her littermates chatter on. She flipped head back with an over exaggerated huff at Minnowslip's cuff, raising a paw to her chest to in a dramatic manner. "You're one to talk about loud kits! Half of WindClan can probably hear you stomping around all day." She stuck her tongue out at Minnowslip, pulling a slight face for good measure.

"Ready!" Adderpaw chirped, hardly able to resist dashing off in the direction that Minnowslip had gestured to. Forcing herself to regain what little composure she actually possessed, the young she-cat dropped into a fidgety crouch as she watched Lavenderpaw bring down a dove. It didn't surprise her- they had the blood of fierce warriors like Rainstorm, Otterleap, and Ivystar in their veins after all! Coiling herself into a somewhat neat crouch, Adderpaw's gaze fell upon a specific dove as she prepared to strike. However, perhaps in her haste to go after the doves like Lavenderpaw, she forgot to actually use the lessons that Viperstorm had drilled into her during their relentless training sessions because the lucky dove was quick to evade her paws.

Adderpaw's mouth dropped open a tad bit upon realizing that she had actually missed her catch and she merely sat by idly, clearly dumbstuck by her failure. She never missed!

"You need to be quiet so the birds don't hear you, Adderpaw," Heronpaw whispered to Adderpaw, being careful not to scare away the birds themselves.  When he saw a bird, he got ready to stalk it, and he pounced. Suddenly, a flash of red fur caught his eye. The creature scared away the birds, and it snarled. "EVERYONE!!! There's a big creature here and I think that it wants to eat us!" he yowled to the other cats.

The fox was a vixen, her teeth being showed to the cats. Don't. Harm. My. Cubs. EVER! she thought as she growled at the gray striped cat(Heronpaw).

'Not again!' Minnowslip thought with terror. "Get behind us, Lilytail and I will keep the creature's attention on us! I'm not going to lose another apprentice to a fox!"

Though she was low-key terrified of the vixen considering their significant size difference, Minnowslip took charge of the battle by using the waters nearby to her advantage. She leapt up and slammed her whole body-weight onto the fox's snout, shoving her underwater. The blow also knocked the breath out of the she-cat too, but it was a little price to pay for giving them a second to respond.

Minnowslip used Underwater Clinch.

Still wearing a look of utter foolishness and disbelief upon her face, Adderpaw felt the skin beneath her fur blaze with embarrassment. How could she of missed? Viperstorm had practically engraved the art of hunting into her brain via difficult lessons. A stray feather was snagged between her flexing claws, and the fluffy grey she-cat's gaze wandered down to the lone feather as Heronpaw whispered to her. Although she appreciated the older apprentice's attempt at being helpful, it did little to quell the raging storm of disappointment and embarrassment in her belly. Lavenderpaw and Minnowslip would never let her live this down!

Flicking her forlorn gaze up to watch Heronpaw, Adderpaw hardly had time to spot the fox among the flurry of feathers that rained down from the doves frantic flight due to her mindless sulking. However the snarling red face that bore down upon Heronpaw made her wild fur bristle in a comical look. A fox! She had never seen a real fox before- but it definitely looked as terrifying as the Elders always said they did. "C'mon! Get away from it Heronpaw!" She yowled, taking note of the feral look upon the vixen's face as she gazed at Heronpaw. Watching Minnowslip charge at the vixen and toss her into the river with a surprising amount of strength, she blindly disregarded her older sister's command and charged forward.

With an ear-splitting yowl, Adderpaw lunged into the water after Minnowslip, unwilling to let her sister fight alone. Sending up a wave of murky river water, the young she-cat wildly swiped at the fox's belly the best she could.

The fluffy apprentice let out an inward mrrow of amusement at Adderpaw's epic failure. He crouched down, ready to make his own attempt, when suddenly the dove that he had had his sights on suddenly took flight. The overwhelming yet familiar scent of fox flooded his nostrils, and then he caught side of the snarling creature bearing down on Heronpaw. Startled by the sudden turn of events, Scorchpaw could not react instantly. When he did, he watched Minnowslip barrel the fox into the river. The warrior had commanded him to stay behind, but there was no way he was going to do that, especially when Adderpaw went charging into the fight as well. He would not be the cowardly apprentice who stayed behind because he was scared of a little pain. Gritting his teeth, Scorchpaw dashed after the other apprentice. He ran as fast as his long legs could carry him, and then he slammed into the fox's side, his momentum and weight shoving the hideous creature beneath the surface of the river.

Scorchpaw used Run and Tackle, dealing 9(6+3) damage and costing 10 stamina.

Lilytail hissed at the fox as she stood beside Minnowslip. When Scorchpaw dunked the fox into the river, the warrior waited for its ugly face to resurface. When it did, Lilytail stood with her back legs and pummeled its face with blows from her unsheathed paws. She went back down and readied for it to get back on land.

The vixen was upset. You dare!? she thought fiercely to the cats. She almost drowned and was now in the water. She got up and was ready to fight.

Fox is no longer stunned.

"Die, you mangy beast!" Minnowslip yowled as she reared up onto her back legs. She coiled her muscles tight, and then slammed down her foreclaws through the beast's pelt, raking skin until hot blood coated them in a thick film.

Feeling her hind paws slip slightly on a stone embedded deep in the riverbed, Adderpaw took a moment to find her sense of balance once more, watching with wide as her Clanmates all sprung into action. Digging her rear claws into the soft, stone-riddled mud as deeply as she could, the drenched young she-cat pressed her shoulder against Scorchpaw for a brief heartbeat before pulling back as Lilytail and Heronpaw lunged at the fox as well. Feeling the heavy, soaking fur atop her nape begin to bristle as the vixen rose to her paws and snarled at the attacking party of cats. Watching as Minnowslip lunged at the fox once more, Adderpaw hurriedly followed suit with a short shriek, swiping viciously at enraged fox's exposed face.

IC: Lavenderpaw ran up to the Fox and slammed her body against it. She managed to push it down with the force of the impact. The apprentice jumped back, breathing heavy. It was her first time seeing a fox and it was sue ugly.

The dark water of the river was steadily turning red from all the blood the fox had shed. All of Scorchpaw's clanmates were fighting the fox now. Watching for his chance to attack again, the apprentice surveyed their situation. They'd been fighting for quite a while, but so far no one had been hurt. Scorchpaw hoped that the fight would end the same way, but it was quite unlikely. Working his long legs desperately, Scorchpaw splashed through the water and circled to the back of the fox. His thick fur was soaked through, and he could feel it clinging to his skin, almost weighing him down. The white tip of the fox's tail flashed before his eyes, and the apprentice sunk his teeth into it. Biting down as hard as he could, he yanked the fox backwards. If he could keep the fox from attacking his clanmates, they could kill it without anyone getting hurt.

Scorchpaw used Tail Yank, causing 2 damage and using 10 stamina.

The fox is stunned for one turn.

OOC: I think that what you did, Transient Days, was a loophole that could make it too easy to defeat predators. Explanation: Turn 1; Cat A uses a stun move. Cat A cannot use a stun move on next turn. Other cats deal damage. Turn 2; Cat B can use a stun move and is fighting the predator. Cat B uses a stun move. Cat B cannot use a stun move next turn. All other cats attack. The predator is dead(or at least it will be after repeating the loophole)
