Ice and Snow [Closed For Ruskavelle and Jade Wings]

Rosekit's sides lifted and fell in a synchronized manner as she lay on the soft bedding that was her nest. She slept alone in the nest, curled up against some soft moss a kind elder had given her. The elder's were like her family, considering her actual family was no where to be seen. Her mother had told her to stay here and that she would come back for her, Rosekit didn't realize it as she was half asleep at the time, but her mother had just left the clan for good. Leaving Rosekit here to fend for herself, considering no one else knew where her father was as well.
She didn't really notice this and just assumed everyone did this, but it had been a long time since her mother left, and she was getting kind of lonely. These thoughts interrupted her dreams and made her imagine a make-believe family as she slept, sharing prey, going to gatherings, what actual families did. This wasn't real though and as Rosekit flinched into reality she was burdened with this fact, waking up to the same nursery that she had fallen asleep to. The sky was still pitch black when she awoke, but she didn't care very much. She felt an Urge to get outside and just see things, to make sure they were still there, and that she did.
Lifting her rear she stretched out her front and back legs, as well as unsheathing her small claws as she did so. A small high-pitched yawn escaped her maw as she happily leaped out of her nest, nearly tripping on her own paws when she landed. She continued on smiling as she headed out into the clearing, and was astounded at how dark it was, it was very odd. And her paws were so cold as she trekked through the slushy white stuff that covered the ground. It was coarse against her small and sensitive paw pads, and it send a tingling numb feeling up her legs and to her spine.
As she looked around, she assumed more cats would be up, but, there was little to no cats even looking out from their den into the barren icy cold that was the clearing. Rosekit could however see the glowing eyes of felines staring at her in astonishment, but most likely confusion or boredom. Still she continued looking for someone to talk to, "H-hello?" she gulped nervously as her small voice echoed through the clearing.

Rosekit's nervous mew broke the looming silence that shrouded the WindClan camp.
"Rosekit?" Poppypaw spotted the tiny she-kit stumbling about in the snow. "What are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be in the nursery?" Poppypaw emerged from the shadows of the Apprentice den to get a better look at the small figure. "Are you scared? It's just me, Poppypaw!"

Wolfpaw had been playing hide-and-seek with some other kits, and he had hidden in the shadows of the nursery. But he didn't think they were even playing anymore. He stepped out of the darkness, opening his watchful blue eyes. "And me." He said sadly. He kept being forgotten.

Rosekit definitely was not expecting someone to actually reply, as when someone did, her heart began to race and her fur stood up on her back as if her clan had just been threatened by intruders. She spun around, jumping up and turning all the way around. As she looked up she locked eyes with the seeming monster that had scared her.
It looked like a monster just as she had thought, but somewhat smaller. In the darkness it's figure loomed over her, and then they stepped a little closer and revealed a calm and friendly smile. They knew who she was even though she barely knew them, which she thought was cool but kind of creepy.
"P-poppypaw?" she stammered the apprentice's name, just to make sure. "and.. wolfpaw?" she guessed- rosekit recognized them kind of but she didn't have the best memory. "I was just looking for somone.." her voice suddenly got quieter as she tried to explain her actions.

"It's okay," Poppypaw smiled at the kit's hesitancy. "Who were you looking for?" Rosekit looked confused and lost. The white and ginger apprentice wondered vaguely if the she-kit remembered who she was. "You're okay. You can talk to us, or you can go back to the nursery if you want to," she explained gently. "I'm sorry if I scared you."

Wolfpaw nodded in agreement. "We aren't the scariest cats in camp, though. I mean,
I could be, with this beautiful fluffy wolfish pelt, but how could I help it?"
