A New Blossom Blooms (CLOSED)

Scorchfang slowly approached Minnowpaw, then stopped. Ever since he stopped seeing Sweetheart from RiverClan he had been feeling pretty lonely in camp. He knew most cats in his Clan still didn't like or trust him because of his awful behaviors as an apprentice. But he was trying to grow closer to each of his Clanmates to prove to them that he was a good warrior.

And since moving on from his relationship with Sweetheart, he also realized he had feelings buried away in his heart for Minnowpaw, but they didn't dig up until after the other she-cat moved on, leaving him to recollect his thoughts.

The she-cat was the first cat he ever met. She accompanied him during his first outing as a kit, but ever since then they began drawing further and further apart, mainly because of his behavior. But he really wanted to prove to the pretty apprentice that he was a changed cat now. And maybe... just maybe... he could find a ShadowClan mate in her once she was made a warrior.

Gulping nervously, he resumed his approach to Minnowpaw. "Uh, hi, Minnowpaw. I've noticed the fresh-kill pile is a little low. Do you... want to go hunting with me? Um, with just me?"

Minnowpaw looked up at the tom when Scorchfang spoke to her. She noticed that the tom where slightly nervous but she ingnored it. "Hi Scorhcfang! And yes I'd love to go hunting with you, I need to train anyways I'm hoping to do my hunting assesment soon. Plus it was a while since we hung out" she answerd him and smiled at the handsome dark-striped tom.

She got up from where she was sitting and got ready to hunt.

"Oh, that's right! You're very close to becoming a warrior, aren't you? I'll be sure to be the cat who cheers your warrior name the loudest." Scorchfang padded out of ShadowClan's camp with Minnowpaw and turned to her when they stopped in the middle of their territory. "Where would you like to hunt first?"

Minnowpaw smiled at his words. When he stopped and asked where they should hunt first, she looked around and thought about it "Hm.. I don't know where do you wanna hunt" she meowed and looked up at the big tom.

An idea brightened up his face and he smiled widely. "I know! We'll hunt by the Deep Marshes! That's the first place we explored together as kits, remember? Maybe I can catch another frog there." Filled with excitement now, he bounded off in the direction of the hunting ground, playfully calling over his shoulder, "Last one there gets to eat kittypet food!"

Minnowpaw looked at him and hissed playfully "Ew!" she spat and raced after him in full speed quickly catching up to him.

Scorchfang began taking long bounds to stay ahead of her, and his paws ended up getting stuck in mud. Hissing in surprise, he yanked his paws out and grimaced in disgust. "Blech! Sometimes I don't like being a ShadowClan cat." He began shaking the mud off his paws, but when Minnowpaw caught up to him he grinned deviously and began flicking his dirty paws at her. "Oh, Minnowpaw!~ Ready to take a mud bath?"

Minnowpaw took a big leap up in the sky "Hey!" she hissed playfully and then she pounced on him, making both of them fall into the mud "If I have to get muddy, you need to get muddy too" she giggled and got up.

"Aw, Minnowpaw! This is gonna take forever to lick out of my fur!" the young warrior exclaimed, his voice cracking with laughter. He pushed her onto her back and began gently pummeling her belly with his hind paws, tickling her. "Take this, you!"

"Welll I could help you with cleaning you'r fur" she meowed between her laughes. She tryed to push him of with her hind legs.

Scorchfang playfully huffed and climbed off the apprentice, even helping her back up on her paws with his muzzle.

She smiled at him "Now shall we hunt?" she asked him and shock off some of the mud.

"Sure thing," Scorchfang replied with happily arched eyes. With another long look at the beautiful she-cat, he padded off in search for his first catch.

It didn't take long for him to find a frog hopping along the logs in the nearly frozen mud. Remembering Violetshine's teachings from moons ago -- teachings he wished he never took for granted -- he slipped into the mud and took silent, careful strides, feeling for roots underneath to keep him from going under.

The frog never even knew he was there until he nipped its neck, killing it instantly. Pride coursed through him at his successful catch. It was almost as if nothing had changed: he and Minnowpaw were hunting in the Deep Marshes together and he caught the very prey he did on his first time outside of camp.

He thought back to Minnowpaw. He truly hoped she shared the same feelings he did for her. Even if he still loved Sweetheart, he knew he loved Minnowpaw just as much. A purr rose in his throat thinking of her as he deposited his catch on dry land.

Minnowpaw watched as the handsome tom caught the frog, just like when they where kits except this time she didn't wanna go home. Where she falling in love? She tought for herself. To get her mind of things she started stalking around, looking for prey.

She caught the scent of a toad, her favourite. She slowly creept towards it. When she where close enough she stopped for a second and then she swiftly pounced on it.

Before the slimy green toad could react she had snapped it's neck. She but it down on a rock so it wouldn't sink down into the mud. She then continued looking for prey.
