Shadowleaf's Name Changing Ceremony

Blizzardstar climbed onto the Highrock after letting out a long sigh. While she was happy to see Shadowleaf being as close to her usual self as she could, the white leader still couldn't help but have scond thoughts about this name changing ceremony “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting”.

Shadowleaf limped out of the medicine den. It still took a lot of effort to move, her new scars ached, and she let out a hiss every once and a while. She was in better spirits but her body.. oh her body.. It still wasn't fit for anything. Her back right leg was tucked up close to her body as she moved over and sat closer to the back of the gathering cat so she didn't have to swerve through them. Her body couldn't move like it did before..

When she saw the state Shadowleaf was on the thought of postponing the ceremony immediately popped in her head, and she even took a step backwards with the intention of apologizing and dismissing the clan…but that the very last second she stopped herself. She had made a promise to Shadowleaf, and she had to comply with it "Shadowleaf, step forward" Only once Shadowleaf was closer to her she decided to keep speaking "Some time ago you requested me to change your name, as you no longer felt like the one you currently have fits you anymore...do you still wish to proceed?".

Shadowleaf stepped forward, a bit of a struggle but she pushed through. She turned to face the clan, her weakened state apparent to the whole clan now but she didn't care. The fact that she is up here is strong enough for her. As much as she wanted to collapse from her weak body and weak mental state she was determined to get through this.

"I do." She said. Her amber eyes held a certain fire to them.

Blizzardstar sighed and nodded, there was no going back now "Spirits of StarClan, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the name from the cat you see before you, for it no longer stands for what she is. By my authority as Clan leader, and with the approval of our warrior ancestors, I give this cat a new name. From this moment on she will be known as Tatteredleaf, for the scars that she holds and made her come to this final decision" She looked down at Tatteredleaf with half a smile, hoping this wasn't a choice she would later regret.

Tatteredleaf.. Well it certainly fit.. And it was given to her by Blizzardstar just like the other warriors. She couldn't asked for anything more. Tatteredleaf nodded, looking up at her leader, a little sparkle in her eye saying she liked her new name, but due to the grief of the past while couldn't express it herself. "Thank you." She said calmly. This was her wish, and she was happy with it.

Raggedpaw stood by the now Tatteredleaf. Concern crossed his face for her well being, but he called out her new name anyway.
