Exploring the Stench (Closed)

OOC: Continued from Spots everywhere

As soon as he was sure that Spottedpaw was following him, Swooppaw trotted out of camp and through the forest. The barren trees and frosted plants didn't make this the most scenic route, but the whole forest was basically like this in Leafbare. Dry brown leaves crunching under paw, the two apprentices continued through the cold forest, headed for a single, set destination. The Thunderpath. He didn't think to question why she wanted to go there until now. It was a stinky, dirty, dangerous place, and ShadowClan was right on the other side. But he had promised her to show it to her, and he planned to live up to that promise. Before long, the two of them had finished their long trek through ThunderClan territory and arrived at the strip of dark stone that smelled of two legs and monsters. Wrinkling his crooked nose in disgust, the light gray apprentice instinctively took a step back, and a moment later a monster whizzed by. The wind it caused shot the horrible scent straight into his nose and blew his whiskers, causing him to cough. Suddenly not as confident, he turned to his friend.
"Uh, this is the Thunderpath. Monsters and their twolegs travel on it, and ShadowClan is on the other side."

OOC: should I add a twist and add rosepaw (her thunderclan friend/my SC character)?

Ic: Rosepaw looked over the thunderpath she didn't like the smell but it was an awesome site. "wow this place is huge I wonder how they made it." she said sniffing the thunderpath. She stepped back as she felt a monster and watched it zoom by. "wow monsters are really big." she said still staring at the spot where the monster was.

OOC: That would be fine! Maybe I'll add Curlyfeather (my SC cat) as well.

IC: "Yeah, they are big. And scary too. And I have no idea how they made it." Swooppaw couldn't take his eyes off the black stone, flinching every time one of the huge monsters roared past. Nervously, he had to look at Spottedpaw just to comfort himself. As long as another cat was there with him, he felt a lot safer. But still, he felt uncomfortable this close. Taking a step back, he wondered why he ever thought it was a good idea to come here. But not wanting to seem rude, he didn't say that. "Well, is there anything else you want to see here? Because I think we should get going."

Spottedpaw looked over the thunderpath and saw a familiar pelt. "umm ya let's stay a bit." she said still looking at the cat. She stepped closer to the thunderpath. "rosepaw over here." she said calling her friend.

Rosepaw looked up to see spottedpaw and another cat. "spottedpaw what are you doing here. Please stop yelling curlyfeather could hear you." she said sounding desperate for her friend to get away.

"Who is Rosepaw?" Swooppaw asked Spottedpaw. Looking across the Thunderpath, he saw a black and white she-cat as well as a gray tabby she-cat on the other side. The one his friend was calling Rosepaw was saying something back to them that he could just barely hear. How did she know the other ThunderClanner's name? Were they friends or something? They seemed to be, and friendship was something he always approved of, no matter who it was between. But at the ShadowClan apprentice's warning, another monster flew by, and he realized just how much danger there was here. "Uh, Spottedpaw. I think she's right. We should get going."

"What don't you want me to hear?" Curlyfeather was on Rosepaw in an instant after she said those words. Though her hearing problem stopped from her hearing a lot of things, including the ThunderClan apprentice, she was close enough to hear what the apprentice said. Soon she realized enough to let her gaze travel across the border, and onto the two ThunderClan apprentices. Growling, she left her clanmate alone and stepped closer to them. "Hey you, step one more step closer to the border and I'll rip your pelts off!"

Spottedpaw looked at newtpaw and then at Rosepaw. "but..but.." is all she could say.


Rosepaw saw how mad curlyfeather was and winced. "please don't hurt her she is my friend she was just patrolling." she said lying a bit.

"Rosepaw seems to think it would be better if we left, and the warrior that's with her seems pretty mad. We should get going," Swooppaw repeated, recognizing a passionate anger in Curlyfeather. Turning to look at Spottedpaw, he winced as yet another monster sped between them. Whimpering, he took a few steps back and tried to make himself smaller. He desperately didn't want there to be a fight, and the whole situation was starting to scare him even more.

"Friends? We aren't supposed to have friends in other clans because we could have to face them in battle someday! And I know ThunderClan is probably stupid enough to let two apprentices go on a patrol by themselves, but I still don't want them them this close to the border," Curlyfeather hissed in return, glaring at Spottedpaw on the last line. She didn't trust two ThunderClan cats of that age being that close to the border, so she kept a firm eye on them, while still making sure Rosepaw didn't try to do anything stupid.

Spottedpaw looked at swooppaw then decided to leave she turned around but before she went she saw Rosepaw running across the thunderpath to her. "what do you think your doing you could've been killed." she said. Rosepaw just smiled at her and licked her goodbye. She ran back across the thunderpath just barely getting there before a monster came. "sorry curlyfeather I had to say bye." she sit on the warrior. Spottedpaw turned and this time really left. She walked to a tree and sat down.

Swooppaw smiled at Rosepaw as she came over to say goodbye. She seemed like a nice cat, and he was sorry that she was in a different clan than he was. As Spottedpaw turned and walked right back into the forest, he did the same, looking back across the path for a few moments before following his friend. When she sat down he smiled encouragingly at her. "We should get back to camp. Our clanmates will be wondering where we have been."

Curlyfeather stood speechless as Rosepaw literally decided to risk her life and run across the Thunderpath, just to say goodbye to a ThunderClanner. And she ran back without checking for monsters, and almost got hit by one! She couldn't bring herself to be glad that the apprentice was safe, just fuming in anger at her stupidity. And to have to nerve to think saying goodbye justified her actions. Growling, the gray tabby walked back into the forest, flicking her tail in a signal to follow. "How in StarClan's name could you be so stupid? You could have died, just to say goodbye to an enemy? You should ashamed of yourself. Now let's finish patrolling and then go back to camp. Don't make me have to tell Magpiestar what you did.

Spottedpaw smiled at him and nodded. "lead the way my thinking might make me turned around if I led." she said getting to her feet.
