Buttercup's Downfall (CLOSED)

Listening to the younger she-cat, she couldn't help but smile softly. "Strong words, Heatherpetal. You're truly worth to be a Thunderclan warrior." But the rare praise from the she-cat was cut short as the rogue shot forwards and knocked over her son in a flurry of claws. Specklefang was on the rogue in an instant, rage flaring in her belly and her heart as the foul being dared to lay a claw or a fang on her son! Turning around as quickly as a Windclan cat, she slammed the dainty little fox-heart to the ground, teeth fastening around the back of the she-cats neck, thrashing her head with a violence she hadn't mustered since her assault on Blazingwing.

"Just because you got away with killing your own family, doesn't mean I'll let you kill mine. There is nothing worse than mothers like you, you disgust me. You should do nothing but love your kits, letting them take their own path and become their own cat in the world." She hissed, blood welling around her maw as she held the rogue in place.

Buttercup huffed and rasped noisily at the new injuries she gained from the attacking cats, and she struggled hard to shake Specklefang off her when she pinned her.

Absolutely livid that the cat whom she used to call her mother would attack her Clanmates -- her true family -- Heatherpetal snarled and let out a fierce caterwaul as she bared her teeth and lunged for Buttercup's muzzle to bite her. However, at the last moment through the rogue's struggling she lifted up her head and Heatherpetal's teeth instead made contact with her throat. She was too late from stopping herself from clamping down, and a sickening crunch was heard.

Heatherpetal used Killing Bite, dealing 20 damage and costing 10 stamina.

Buttercup's eyes widened in terror as her own blood began filling her lungs and clogging her windpipe. She struggled to cough out the blood, but every intake of air only choked her up more. She spazzed and writhed underneath Specklefang in a blind panic, until finally she fell still, her ice-blue eyes bloodshot and clouded.

Heatherpetal backed away quickly from her dead mother, eyes wide and body trembling. Great StarClan, she... She killed her own mother! She didn't mean it, she only wanted to finish giving her wounds that she'd remember and then let her flee! She knew that Buttercup deserved death for what she had done to her own mate and kits, but Heatherpetal didn't want to be the cat who killed her!
