Heatherkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Blizzardstar leaped onto the Highrock, ready for another ceremony “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Heatherkit had to dig her claws into the ground to keep herself from bouncing. Fur fluffed up with excitement, she looked up expectantly at Blizzardstar.

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock, the white leader finally decided to go on "Heatherkit, please, step forward”.

Puffing out her chest, her body trembling with nervous excitement, Heatherkit padded into the center of the clearing.

Blizzardstar smiled at the kit before talking again “Heatherkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Heatherpaw” She took a quick glance at the warriors gathered before picking one for the new apprentice “Your mentor will be Reedheart. I hope he passes down all he knows on to you” With that she jumped off the Highrock, dismissing the clan.

Heatherkit felt as though her chest would burst with excitement and pride. She searched through the crowd of ThunderClan cats looking for her new mentor.

The fluffy pale golden tom blinked with surprise after hearing that he was now a mentor being so young. With a confident smile, the warrior approached the apprentice with a smile and touched her nose, gently. Stepping back, he purred gladly. ”I’ll do my best to teach everything you need.”

Heatherpaw suddenly felt very shy. She quickly glanced away, heat blazing through her thin sandy fur. "Um... Thank you."
