Shimmering Curiosity (Open)

Shimmerkit twitched in her sleep, uncomfortable. As she settled down again, a loud noise coming from outside woke her up. Drowzily she half-opened one eye, curious to see what it was. After a quick self-grooming and a stretch, she carefully padded out of the nursery. Looking around she realised that the loud thing was gone, but it had left a large, fluttering feather in its wake. Dropping to her front paws, Shimmerkit bunched up the muscles in her hind legs and pounced, catching the feather in her claws. Then she let it go, watching it flutter past her nose in the calm breeze before batting at it in the air, trying to knock it down while it steadily rose higher.
