Nest of Petals (Open)

(occ: short and terrible because I'm tired, will probably edit tomorrow)

Leopardclaw crossed the clearing with a bounce in his step, setting a beeline for the nursery entrance. With a smile, he poked his head in through the leaves and purred; "Flowerkit, Violetkit, Heatherkit! Come on outside!" With a purr he waited for the small litter of orphaned she-kits he and his mate had taken in to emerge from the den.

Violetkit peeked cautiously through the leaves. The ThunderClan camp is huge, she thought. She looked back at her littermates, and stepped out of the refuge of the nursery. She blinked in the sunlight and looked around. "Wow!" she exclaimed, amazed at how many cats there were. She looked up at her adoptive father. "This is amazing!"

Flowerkit gazed around anxiously. "It's... it's so big!" she stuttered. The pale tabby she-kit stiffened as she examined her surroundings. Seeing all the cats, Flowerkit felt nervous and out of place. She turned to Leopardclaw. "C...Can I please go back in the Nursery? I don't think I'm ready to explore the camp... yet."

(((Sorry for not getting this until just now! Even though Heatherpaw is an apprentice now, she can be a kit for the sake of this forum. XD)))

Heatherkit was the last of the adopted sisters to tumble out. She wasn't as nervous about the great wide ThunderClan camp, but she was still afraid of meeting any new cat. She rushed to hide behind Leopardclaw's legs with a soft squeak, staring down at her paws as to avoid making eye contact with anyone.

Crowkit had just woke up and had seen the she-kits running out from the nursery. He stood up and stretched a little before he walked up to the entrence and looked out.

Leopardclaw purred happily as he watched the three she-kits tumble out of the den one by one; Violetkit was clearly excited, but he was a bit surprised to feel Heatherkit run and hide behind his paws, and hear Flowekit plead to stay in the nursery.  All of his own kits had been itching to leave the nursery once they were old enough to stand, so this was a bit new to him.  After giving Heatherkit a comforting lick between the ears, he bent down and purred to Flowerkit; "You can go back in if you really want to, but I promise that the camp is safe to explore; you don't need to be scared of it."  Looking down at Violetkit, he smiled and purred; "It is a pretty amazing sight.  Actually, a few moons before you kits were born, there was a great fire in our territory, and the camp burned to the ground.  Thanks to nature and the hard work of our warriors though, we were able to rebuild."  While gazing around at his home proudly, out of the corner of his eye he noticed young Crowkit peeking out of the nursery, and twitched an ear in a friendly greeting.

(That's okay, real life happens. XD)

Heatherkit softly purred at her adopted father's affection, then looked out nervously again at all the cats. She knew none of them would harm her, but that didn't make hanging around complete strangers to her any less nerve-wracking. What if she did something wrong and became laughing stock of ThunderClan? What if she made a complete fool of herself and had to hide away in the nursery forever?

Violetkit bounced excitedly on her paws, not letting Heatherkit's hesitation quench her enthusiasm. "Wow! It must have taken a lot of work to get it back to normal! She paused and looked around again, trying to absorb every sight, scent, and sound. "Can I meet them?" She asked, making a wide gesture with her tail.
