Thistlekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Blizzardstar leaped onto the Highrock, ready for another ceremony “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Eagerly padding forwards at Blizzardstar's call, Thistlekit resisted the urge to abandon all of her manners and simply rush full speed towards the fluffy she-cat who was settled on top of the Great Rock. It was finally time for her to become an apprentice like the rest of her littermates! Forcing her fur to remain smooth, the young she-kit resigned to force herself to wait patiently for Blizzardstar to speak once more.

Once enough cats were gathered beneath the Highrock, the white leader finally decided to go on "Thistlekit, please, step forward”.

Heart practically beating out of her chest, Thistlekit stepped forwards with a gleam of anticipation evident in her eyes.

Blizzardstar smiled at the kit before talking again “Thistlekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Thistlepaw” She took a quick glance at the warriors gathered before picking one for the new apprentice “Your mentor will be Lionspark. I hope she passes down all she knows on to you” With that she jumped off the Highrock, dismissing the clan.

An apprentice? ...Already? Lionspark peered up from where she sat with her one good eye, her tail twitching with an uncertain look on her face. While she was recovering just fine and...Well, she supposed it was time to get back to her duties. The warrior stood up, blinking slowly as she padded across the clearing toward Thistlepaw - her granddaughter. She said nothing as she leaned down to touch noses with her, only trying to give her a warm look and a slight smile.
