Cherrypaw's assessment

Specklefang breathed a sigh of relief as Leopardclaw and Cherrypaw came rushing into the clearing, snapping her head around to her apprentice she roared. "Get in there Cherrypaw! We need all the help we can get!" She snapped, stumbling to her paws raggedly the feeling of relief sickening as she threw herself back into the battle. She reared up as she came to the badger, her claws continuing to rip at its face and eyes hoping for some success at blinding it. It seemed that luck was on her side as she tore into its beady little eyes and feeling the blood clot her fur between her toes, throwing back her head she cheered. "Take that you beast!" She spat.

Specklefang used Rear-up to slash! Costing 13 Damage and 15 Stamina!

The Badger stumbled and roared as cat after cat tore at his face and slammed into his side, but what really ticked him off and pained him so was the large she-cat that tore his eyes. Stumbling and bumbling he shook the cat on him off and wiped at his eyes, everything blurry and black now. Rage built in the badgers gut as he snapped at all the cats around him.

Leafstorm leap away gracefully, landing lightly on his feet and throwing himself back into the fray.
He danced in front of the badger, dodging it's clumsy paws easily despite his size.

"You'll have to try harder than that!" He called, giving it a light tap on it's head and skipping away again.
His pelt rippled as he reared up on his hind legs, mustering his strength as he slammed them onto the badger's head.
He chuckled as it staggered and leapt out of it's path again, getting a safe distance away before watching it warily.

Cherrypaw blinked springing her small body into action. After hearing her father land she moved pushing her small body forward. She then leaped claws unsheathed as she landed on the badgers back sinking her claws in as deep as she could manage. Her ears flat as she held on feeling the badger try to knock her off. She tried raking her claws through its fur on its back.

With a low, threatening growl, the lithe golden tom-cat balanced himself onto his hind legs as he rose up, unsheathed claws glinting in the sunlight, and brought down a powerful blow onto the badger's head.  Hazel eyes narrowed viciously, Leopardclaw glanced at his clanmates questioningly; the badger was weakening, they should be able to drive it off easily at this point.

Cherrypaw leapt back from the badger as she was knocked off and looked to where she thought her father,the deputy,and her mentor was.

Specklefang joined Leopardclaw quickly, rearing on her back paws and slamming her fat paws onto the badgers head. Her tail lashing and a growl tearing from her throat as she hit the badger, her shoulder welling evermore. But the adrenaline and need to protect her clan-mates pushing her on.

Specklefang used Upright Lock on Badger! Costing 14 damage and 25 stamina.

The badger growled and flailed, but once more he was dazed, his body rocking and his little beady eyes glaring at all the attacking cats.

Leafstorm met Leopardclaw's gaze, but a hint of a challenge shone through his eyes. Surely they could finish it off now. It was barely strong enough to stand, let alone fight back.

He took a small step back before sprinting at the badger's flank, throwing his shoulder into it and knocking the weakened beast onto the forest floor. He hissed triumphantly and raked his claws through it's fur before jumping back, casting a nervous look over Specklefang. She needed help, fast.
He raced to her side. "Lean on me," He murmured. "Leopardclaw, Cherrypaw! Finish it off!"

Cherrypaw blinked then gave a small nod her head swung back to the weakened badger and with unsheathed claws she swatted the badger to the best of her ability. Raking her claws through the fur of its face. Before she moved back looking or focused on where she knew the badger was.

Leopardclaw was just about to strike once again, since his clanmates seemed to be craving a little more action, but Cherrypaw jumped forward before he could, giving it a hard rake with her claws, and suddenly the large creature fell to the ground, defeated.  Suprised, but proud, the deputy padded forward and nodded to Cherrypaw approvingly before gazing back towards Leafstorm and Specklefang.  "Great job everyone, good fight."

Cherrypaw flicked her ear quietly as she had heard Leopardclaw and gave a tiny smile before she sat down quietly tail flicking back and forth as her ears stayed pricked

Specklefang looked coolly at the badger as it fell, and a smile crookedly made it to her maw before vanishing into a grimace. Pressing bodily against Leafstorm she nodded stiffly towards Leopardclaw. Turning to look at Cherrypaw she assessed the young she-cat before meowing, "Leopardclaw, let me speak to you quickly." She stood where she was, too afraid to move away from her mate and fall down. Though she looked back to Cherrypaw and beckoned her over, trying to tell her subtly that she may want to hear this.

Cherrypaw had sat quietly of course not for very long as she heard Specklefang speak to Leopardclaw. She was focused enough and alert enough to hear Specklefang beckon her over. So the blind tortie got to her paws and padded over quietly before she sat down her ears pricked forward.

Leafstorm shot Specklefang a worried glance. "We've gotta get you back to Honeypaw." He mewed, his voice shaking. "That doesn't look too good..."

Leopardclaw's ears pricked at the sound of Specklefang's voice, turning away from the badger to face the large she-cat.  Though he was smaller and slighter than she, he stood up tall and unflinching, head tilted a bit to the side in a curious way.  "Yes, of course Specklefang, but don't make it too long.  Leafstorm's right, Honeypaw should take a look at you as soon as possible."  He registered the communication between mentor and apprentice; he had a strong feeling of what this was about.
