Mallowkit's Apprentice Ceremony

"Let all cats of Skyclan old enough to climb a tree gather beneath the tallbranch for a clan meeting!" Rippedsky's yowl rang through the clearing. His claws scored the tallbranch once more. There had been a lot of ceremonies lately, something he was grateful for. The deputy's blue eyes scanned the clearing as he waited for the clan to assemble.

Mallowkit slowly made her way out of the nursery, careful not to bump into anybody or trip. She sighed with relief as she had succesfully made it without any trouble. She sat down and looked up with her milky, blind eyes. She strained her ears to listen carefully to what the deputy had to say.

"Mallowkit, please step forwards." Rippedsky called as soon as the kit joined the crowd. It was finally time to have her officially join the rank of apprentice. A soft smile wormed its way onto his maw. As soon as Mallowkit padded forwards, the deputy continued, "We gather once more to name another young cat as one of the clan's apprentices. Mallowkit is old enough to begin training. From this day forwards, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Mallowpaw. Bubblemist will be your mentor. I expect she will pass on all of her wisdom to you." While still young herself, Rippedsky had no doubt his daughter could handle another. This would be her second apprentice and he knew she would be a great mentor to Mallowpaw and Vixenpaw.
