Battle Training with Lilacpaw [Closed]

Waspstep waited out in the territory for Lilacpaw. He offered to teach the apprentice the basics of fighting so that way she would be prepared for whatever came her way. The brown warrior wanted everyone to be prepared in case any of the clans decided to take advantage of the weakness of another clan especially after the gathering.

Lilacpaw made her way to the meeting place, and nodded politely to Waspstep. She had no idea what she was doing when it came to battle training - she had yet to get in a fight, and the idea didn't appeal to her. However, it was part of what being a warrior meant, and so she had to learn. After all, she didn't want to be a disappointment to her Clan. "What do I do?" she asked, and waited for an instruction from the warrior.

So they were getting right to it huh? Well the faster they got this over with the better in Waspstep's mind. "We are just going to practice some simple moves. For now just start with the Front Paw Blow. You are just striking with your paw without your claws." The Senior Warrior explained. This should be simple but he might as well show it anyway.

ooc: Alright, it's been a while since I have explained this so bear with me.

So this https://warriorclancats.forumotion.com/t183-battle-system is your friend. This shows you all the moves that can be preformed and the stamina cost and the damage done. The first chart you see is the move chart which shows the move, the rank needed to preform that move, the stamina cost (Sp) and then effects a move might have, and then the description of the move.

If you scroll down past this first chart to the smaller second chart, this second chart will show the damage. So I did Front Paw Blow which takes 5 stamina, and I went down to the second chart. Since Waspstep is a senior warrior he does 12 Damage with the move.

So when you know the move you want to do, you can set it up like I did. It needs to be a separate sentence from the rest of your post. All you need to state is which cat of yours is preforming the move, what move, on which enemy the are preforming the move, what damage it dealt, and the sp taken. As you can see my example above.

And usually after that you state your opponents health after you deduct the damage you have dealt, and their stamina to help keep them up. But since Wasp attacked a rock there isn't a need for that.

Waspstep nodded. "Good. Now try this one." Waspstep basically preformed the same move but this time he was using his claws. "It's the same but with claws. It's called a Front Paw Strike." The warrior explained.

Waspstep used Front Paw Strike on the Rock, dealing 14 damage, -10sp

Lilacpaw nodded, and attempted to mimic the warrior's movements precisely.

Lilacpaw used Front Paw Strike on Random Rock, dealing 6 damage and costing 10 stamina

Waspstep nodded. She was catching on. Now it was time for a more complex move. "Alright this next one is called Leap and Hold. Basically you are pinning your opponent, and then clawing at them, while you have them pinned. Sometimes others are able to break out of it quickly while others take a little longer." The senior warrior explained. He preformed the move as an example. Though it would work better on another cat.

Waspstep used Leap and Hold on Rock dealing 14 damage, -10 Sp. Rock is stunned for one turn.

ooc: Alright this one will require a dice roll. Meaning you are gonna have to click the post reply button at the bottom to do this. If you go back to the battle system page and go to leap and hold you will see it does damage over time, how many turns depends on the number you roll. If you roll a 1,2, or 3 you will deal damage an extra turn, 4, 5, or 6 is two extra turns after your initial post. The damage over time does not require stamina for your extra turns.

Once you get to the post reply page, then if you scroll down a bit you will see Dices Roll. For this you only need to select the Effect dice, and it will do the work for you.

Remember to go back to your original post, and add in how long your enemy is 'stunned' for. With stunning moves you cannot preform them twice in a row in an actual battle.
