Ryeheart stuck his head into the apprentice's den, and called out for his newest trainee. "Oakpaw wake up, it's time for training!" Backing out, the young pale ginger tom began snacking on a lizard from the fresh-kill pile while he waited for the young she-cat. ______________________________________ |

| Oakpaw grumbled softly, a soft sigh escaping her lips as she heaved her body from her nest, blinking her eyes briefly. She stretched, parting her jaws in a yawn. "Coming, Ryeheart.." She called out in response, her tone lacking enthusiasm. The ginger-tinted she-cat padded towards her mentor, her tail dragging across the floor. | Ryeheart tilted his head as he watched Oakpaw pad out of the den, looking very un-excited, unlike him. Tilting his head, the pale ginger tom's face reflected concern as he meowed; "Good morning Oakpaw, are you okay? You don't look very energetic, did you sleep alright?" He wasn't really trying to pry, he just wanted to make sure the young she-cat was okay; not only would training be harder for them both if she was downcast, but the young tom never wanted to see anyone unhappy if he could help it. ______________________________________ |

| Oakpaw looked up at her mentor, taking in the concern on his face. She instantly regretted ever existing. "W-What?" She jumped at his question, her pelt heating with embarrassment, "Me? Oh, I'm alright. Just a little..nervous, I guess." The green-eyed she-cat looked down at her paws, chuckling nervously, "I did sleep well, yes. Ryeheart's face softened into a reassuring smile when Oakpaw revealed that she was nervous. Padding a couple steps closer, he crouched down a bit so that they were eye-to-eye before speaking, a comforting purr enhancing his voice. "It's okay Oakpaw, there's no reason to be nervous. We're just going to take it slow at first, work on hunting and I'll show you the borders. Now, it's time to get excited! It's your first day out!" Trying his best to motivate and excite the young she-cat, he dropped into a playful crouch, eyes shining in a friendly way. ______________________________________ |
