Nice To Meet You

Rowantalon waited patiently by the camp entrance for Flintpaw, his tail flicking occasionally. The sun was setting, but he didn't really care- he was as comfortable in the dark as he was in full daylight.

He licked one paw, running it over his ear anxiously. Where was she?
He shook himself. Why should he care? He only thought of Flintpaw as a friend- like a younger sister.

Flintpaw ran up to Rowantalon. "I'm so sorry! I completely lost track of time! I hope you don't mind hunting in the dark." she said. Flintpaw sat down next to him and smiled. "So, where do you want to hunt? I generally go to the marshes, but if you'd rather go somewhere else.."

The tom couldn't help chuckling to himself as Flintpaw dashed up. "It's fine, I don't mind the dark."
He got to his feet and began to head of of camp. "Yeah, I think the marshes would be a good place to start." He mewed.

OOC: Hunting system?

Flintpaw nodded and followed after Rowanclaw. She walked quicker to reach his side. She hadn't been hunting for very long and wasn't sure how much she would be able to catch. She hoped that she wouldn't embarrass herself in front of the older tom.

OOC: If you don't mind, yes please. I would like to get more practice with it.

Rowantalon barely suppressed a purr as he felt the she-cat by his side. It came out as an odd-sounding cough.
"Ugh, sorry. I got some... uh, some dust in my throat." He wheezed, trying and failing to make himself look dignified.
His ears lowered as a scent caught his nose and he immediately dropped into a hunting crouch, silently making his way towards the scent.
It was a large brown toad, resting quietly on a rock.
He lowered his haunches, his tail-tip flicking in anticipation.
Rowantalon pounced, quickly killing the toad with one bite. He returned to Flintpaw, carrying it in his jaws and trying not to look too proud of himself.

Flintpaw barely stopped herself from laughing when Rowantalon fell over. She watched him catch some prey, before trying herself. As she caught a scent, she crouched into the hunting position. She pounced onto a lizard that fell limp in her mouth. She happily padded back to bury her prey to pick up later.

Rowantalon grinned as he watched Flintpaw hunt. She was a natural.
He turned away to hide his smile and noticed a flash of movement. It small brown mouse, scampering across the marshy ground.

Rowantalon positioned himself so the mouse would run directly at him and waited. Sure enough, the mouse turned.
It saw him and it's mouth fell open, but before it could do anything the warrior pounced, killing it swiftly.
He padded back to Flintpaw, grinning.

Flintpaw watched Rowantalon catch something before she go another scent. 'Wow! There's a lot of prey here!' She thought. She crouched into the hunting position, her eyes in a rat. She quickly jumped on and killed it before putting it by her lizard.
