The Heather caught in the Blizzard(open but post after Fawnt has posted)

It was early morning it was unexpected for Heathershade but considering everything it went fine. Now she laid in the nursery with her single kit,Blizzardkit. She smiled a little bit. The pelt color was something unusual for her but not completely different from her it was an off white with slate Gray markings. She smiled at her kit purring quietly before she nudged the young kit gently knowing today would be a good day or so she hoped."time to wake up Blizzardkit we are going outside the nursery today"She mewed.

The small kit mewed a soft complaint at having to wake up before her mother's words registered completely. She didn't take time to stretch before happily bounding toward the nursery entrance and into the sunlight. Blizzardkit sat directly outside the den taking in the overwhelming sights and smells of the WindClan camp.

Heathershade purred at her daughter's eagerness. She pulled herself to her paws"calm down calm down "She purred approaching her daughter"I'm sure it's overwhelming at first but it's nothing to worry about in camp everyone will be friendly just dont get in anyways way"She mewed.

Blizzardkit nuzzled her mother happily and purred. "Everything smells so strange it's making my nose feel funny." The young kit sneezed and pawed at her nose curiously. Her mother was right, it was overwhelming. She couldn't contain her excitement as she mewed loudly to say hello to any nearby cats.

Twistedtail caught sight of her daughter Heathershade- that lazy, awful Heathershade that seemed to get the bad genetics of the family- with some kit. She knew that the gray, cream, and white she-cat had kits so it was safe to say that this one was hers. She walked over, her slightly swollen belly swaying a little and she greeted the young kit. [color:b752=#33ccoo]"Hi, little one," the Siamese tabby she-cat purred, "I'm Twistedtail, and I'm your, ah, grandmother." Her whiskers flicked with amusement and she sat down, curling her crooked tail as best she can over her paws. Looking up at Heathershade she said, "She looks a lot like Heatherstripe, the brave and honorable cat I named you after. Unfortunately you never lived up to her image," she grumbled, before her eyes brightened again and she added "Oh, and you are going to have some littermates soon. Me and Ash of Burning Forest are having kits!" 

Heathershade blinked seeing her mother coming over and she frowned slightly bringing her daughter just a little bit closer to her as he eyes narrowed a bit. She was done trying to live up to her mother's expectation."Well thanks mother but I don't have to live up to her name and that's good new maybe you can treat your kits just like you treated me"She mewed calmly but the anger was there just not as obvious for her daughter's sake. "This is Blizzardkit"She mewed.

Blizzardkit watched the interaction between the two queens with confused fascination. She curled her tail nervously over her paws, intimidated by Twistedtail. She puffed up her chest as best she could, brushing away her nervousness. "Hello it's nice to meet you!" She mewed, looking curiously at her grandmother's tail. "Why's your tail like that?"

OOC: There is another kit, Emberkit, so just pretend she was there the whole time.

IC: Nectarleap had picked up a hare from the prey pile and decided to take it to Heathershade, and maybe their kits if they were feeling ready to eat solid food yet. He spotted Twistedtail with them and for a brief moment wondered why she was there, then remembered that she-cat was expecting kits. He hoped that his mate wasn't bothered by her. As he to where they were standing, he realized that the mother and daughter didn't seem to be getting along. He had never actually seen the two interacting, but had heard Heathershade talk about about it enough for him to dislike the older warrior, or now queen. Now seeing it in action, he was even more angered. Bt he hid that emotion for the kits sakes.
"Hello Heathershade," he greeted avoiding eye contact with Twistedtail. "I brought you a hare." Nectarleap dropped the rabbit at her feet and gazed lovingly into her eyes. He then sat down and curled his tail around his paws. The young warrior couldn't help but throw a warning glance at the scarred she-cat. He didn't want her making Heathershade feel bad, especially when the kits were around. He then looked down at the two she-kits. He loved them more than words could express.

Emberkit looked up at Nectarleap, pride burning in her eyes. She didn't understand what her mother and her new grandmother were talking about, but she did notice the plump hare Nectarleap brought. "Can I try some?"She asked cautiously.

Heathershade eyes were narrowed but after a moment she blinked looking to the hare quietly before she smiled some"Thank you"She purred before he gaze went to hee other daughter Emberkit. She smiled"of course you can try some"She mewed smiling.

Ooc by the way they are actually just outside the nursery Squirrelnose.

Juniperkit was a small little thing, and had stayed in the dark until now. Now, she bumbled up to the queens. "Sorry to interrupt," she meowed. "But can I go out of the den with you?"

Twistedtail's eyes narrowed as Heatherstripe retorted back at her. "Listen here, Heathershadow. It wasn't my fault, it was your own. Maybe you might have seen better attention from me if you actually done anything right," she growled. Her anger was briefly forgotten as the little tabby she-kit Heatherstripe referred to as Blizzardkit asked her about her tail. "Well, I was born with it, as a little kit in the Thunderclan Camp, and the little crook at the end is from... a dog attack while I was training your mother." She couldn't help but glance at the tabby, cream and white she-cat. It was really her fault, she hadn't chased away the dog and just stared at her as she got mauled. While she looked she caught the glare of Nectarleap and felt the need to reassure him. "There is nothing against you, Nectarleap, or the kits. This is simply between Heatherstripe and I." She turned her attention back to the kits and her daughter, awaiting her response.

Blizzardkit listens intently to Twistedtail, wanting to learn as much as she can. The young tabby kit then turns to the hare her father brought for her and Emberkit. "What is it?" Her ears perked up as she sniffed the fresh kill hesitantly. She pawed it curiously before taking a small bite.

The warm meat was by far the best thing she'd ever tasted. The young tabby kit purred softly and looked up at Nectarleap. "It's delicious!"

Heathershade blinked and growled her eyes narrowed."enough Twistedtail why d ont you go mess with someone else in done trying to please you and you're horrible mothering"She growled ears flat"I want you to stay away from my kits"She said turning away from her and watching her kits with loving eyes as they ate the hare.

Emberkit took a bite and instantly agreed with her sister, Blizzardkit.
