The Heather that Grows in the Moors (OPEN)

Heatherkit sat quietly outside the nursery, not bothering to socialize with the other kits at this point. She watched the older cats go about their life, but said nothing in her silent intrigue. She turned around as she heard pawsteps behind her.

A calico she-kit rubbed against her sister as she exited the nursery, she smiled. Her fur flattened as she had recently learned to groom herself, just in case. She sat besides her sister "Heatherkit" she purred.

From within the nursery, Saltpelt peered out at her kits who were off exploring the camp as she had once with her own brother, Pinedusk. She wanted to sleep, after all, being both leader and mother gave her little time to rest, but these were precious moments. The white tabby got up and out of her nest to trail behind her children. "Nice day. Maybe an apprentice will play with you if you ask nicely?"

"Maybe. I wonder how hard it is for all the warriors to fight and hunt and things," Heatherpaw mewed. "We'll be warriors one day, won't we, Emberkit?"

Emberkit nodded "I hope so, we got to be just like our mom, I bet we'll be anyways" she mewed, a bright look one her, she loved the feeling of thinking about them being warriors, she wondered what her name would be if she were a warrior, doesn't every kit? She laughed at herself quietly in her head, amusement was most of her personality, well, kind of.

"You'll be good." Saltpelt commented, nuzzling the pair once before heading back over to the Tall Rock once someone called her over. With a sigh she left them, duty calling for her.
