Curlykit and Cedarkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardstar climbed the Jaggedrock again and called the summons. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey join here beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Green bright eyes opened wide in the darkness of the nursery when Cedarkit heard a clan meeting. The young she-cat ran as fast as she could, hoping to reach the Jaggedrock just in time. She sat down, behind the older cats and waited impatiently with her tail flicking to see what was this about. Maybe it could be her ceremony, she thought as she waited for her sister to be with her.

Curlykit padded out into camp after Cedarkit, not nearly as excited as her sister was. There were so many clan meetings held, and there was only a possibility that that it might be theirs. Though, she was nearly six moons old, so she was old enough to listen to clan ceremonies, at least in her opinion. She sat beside her sister and waited for Leopardstar to make his announcement.

Leopardstar spotted the kits standing by and began the ceremony. "Curlykit, Cedarkit, step forward." He meowed, looking over the crowd. "You have reached the age of six moons and are ready to begin training. From this moment until you receive your warrior names, you shall be called Curlypaw and Cedarpaw. Curlypaw, Blazeflight will be your mentor. I trust she will teach you true loyalty and respect. Cedarpaw, Hazeflight will be your mentor. I know she will pass on all her skills to you." He finished, nodding to each warrior in turn.

The newly named Curlypaw nodded with pride, unable to do anything else right away. In the matter of a few moments, she realized that she had to go touch noses with her new mentor. The gray tabby she-cat stepped up to do so, and muttered a few words under her breath. "Don't go easy on me."

Hazeflight touched noses with the newly named apprentice, a small smile crossed her maw.
