A New Dawn (Open Patrol)

It was a few days after her vigil. It still felt unreal, sitting there, watching out for her Clan. Her first duty as a warrior, she recalled warmly. Rippedsky's proud mew filled her bones that day with the word Dandeliondapple. Her name. Her warrior name.

She shook her head. She couldn't daydream. That was weakness, just like Hawkstrike said. Dandeliondapple looked around camp. It was still early in the morning. Perhaps she could do Rippedsky a favor and do a patrol for him...?

Yes, she would do that.

Hawkstrike padded towards Dandeliondapple with a smile on his muzzle, lowering his head for half a second as a polite greeting “Up so early?” He meowed before stopping at her side “Are your planning to organize an evening patrol or you’re just an early bird? If it’s the later though, mind if I join?” If the same question was made to him the answer would be fairly simple, he was finally starting to get used to be awake during the day and sleep during the night instead of the other way around. It was true that it took him a bit of time to get used to that schedule, but just because something was had it didn’t mean it was impossible to achieve.

"Just an early bird," said Dandeliondapple. "Yes, you can join me. I was going to patrol the borders. I think ThunderClan might be getting desperate with all that fire-damage. They might try to steal prey, you know?"

Hawkstrike chuckled softly and nodded “I understand perfectly, maybe it would be a good idea to check the scent markings too, just in case” For a couple seconds he couldn’t help but wonder if they would find any intruders based on what Dandelondapple had said. The thought almost causing him to unsheathe his claws. If they didn’t it would be a good signal, but if they did he was going to make sure these intruders never dared to cross the border again.
