Flintkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Leopardstar climbed the Jaggedrock again, tail swishing behind him. He looked out over the camp and called the summons. "Let all cats old enough to capture their own prey join here beneath the Jaggedrock for a clan meeting!"

Flintkit walked out from the nursery, her tail swishing behind her. She hoped that this would finally be her apprentice ceremony, it felt as though she had been waiting forever to finally become an apprentice. She hurried to sit in front of the jaggedrock. She faced Leopardstar, keeping her head held up tall as her stomach tossed and turned in anticipation.

Leopardstar spotted the kit standing by and began the ceremony. "Flintkit, step forward." He meowed, meeting Flintkit's young gaze with his own. "You have reached the age of six moons and are ready to begin training. From this moment until you receive your warrior name, you shall be called Flintpaw. Flamestrike will be your mentor. I trust he will teach you true loyalty and respect." He finished, nodding to the ginger warrior.

Flintpaw stops up, grinning. "Flintpaw" she said under her breath, trying out her new name. She was so glad to have finally earned it, and she couldn't wait to begin her training. Just one step closer to being a great warrior for Shadowclan.

Flamestrike was overwhelmed with shock as he was named a mentor, but did little more than flick his ear externally. He was surprised to find Leopardstar giving him an apprentice other than his own son. After the ceremony had ended, the flame orange warrior padded over to the young, and clearly eager, apprentice. This is going to be a long few moons... He thought internally. Flamestrike looked down at her for a moment before stretching his neck to touch noses with Flintpaw, "Our training begins tomorrow morning. You should get some rest."
