Bubblepaw stmbled back as the warriors started fighting. She tripped over and root and groaned.

Waspstep watched as the other's started to fight. The warrior let out a small sigh. Did they really have to do this? He didn't have the effort for this right now, all he wanted to do was sleep. The warrior looked at Bubblepaw. "Look I guess we should fight like the rest, but don't worry I will go easy on you if you want to give a real fight a try." He wasn't going to terrify the apprentice if he could help it.

Bubblepaw looked at the warrior in curiosity. "I-I mean I guess.. But o don't really wanna fight so.." She meowed flicking her tail.

He could understand the apprentice's concern. "No claws, think of it as battle training but in a realistic environment." The warrior encouraged the apprentice. There would be times that warriors wouldn't be so nice. He would go easy on her like he said.

The warrior swiped his unseated paw at the apprentice lightly. Barely doing any damage to the apprentice.

Hawkstrike hissed in a mix of annoyance and rage. He was expecting the other clan to do something that would give him a fair motive to attack, but instead Larksong had decided to act first and steal his chance of being the one that landed the first blow. The claws of the ShadowClan warrior not only scratching him, but also knocking away the already cracking mask of the honorable hawk that he used to wear since he joined SkyClan, revealing the face of the battle-thirsty owl whose attacks were fueled by the purest rage, the cat Larksong had met so many moons ago at the Carrionplace.

Instead of retreating to put his thoughts in order before attacking or trying to form a strategy to take down his opponent effectively while not causing any serious damage like most warriors would do, he turned to face him with his fangs bared and fur standing on end, his eyes holding the gaze of someone who had already taken a life on his past and lacked regrets for it.

Without losing a single second, he reared on his back legs to soon after pummel at Larksong’s face with full intentions of causing as much damage as possible, aiming specifically at the most vulnerable areas he could reach. A technique which code followers would consider dishonorable in many ways, but for a cat trained in the Dark Forest ways like he was, using such dirty techniques would be as natural as breathing. The strength he was known for back in the times when he still was in ShadowClan showing clearly in his every move.

Larksong pulled back as claws raked across her face, her ears pinning back on her head as blood welled from the scratches that Hawkstrike left. Her eyes were narrowed with rage, her vision tainted red from the blood that threaten to blind her. She was lucky that Hawkstrike hadn't taken out one of her eyes with strikes like that - she could tell he was going for any soft spots that he could. She took in a deep breath as she leaped forward, doing her best to dodge around his claws as she turned and lashed out at his scruff. Her teeth met its mark and she reared back with all of the strength that she could manage, shaking Hawkstrike in an attempt to daze him and give her another opportunity to strike.

Larksong used Scuff Shake, dealing 5 damage and costing 25 stamina. Hawkstrike is stunned for 1 turn.

It stung but he didn't mind. He didn't expect the apprentice to hold back. After all he was a big scary warrior. The brown warrior just decided to keep doing the same thing against the apprentice.

One moment there was just the beginnings of a crackling tension in the air. Then, Hawkstrike began to yowl at them. At first, Flamestrike was tempted just to ignore the words of the Skyclan tom, but it quickly became personal. He spoke of Bear. The orange warrior's stomach churned at the thought. Once more, he was back in the moment. Blood poured over his paws and stained the forest floor red. His features fell into a look of horror for a moment. But his shook his head and stared at Hawkstrike. No. No more. Instantly, his claws slid out. No cat was going to tell him that what he had done was wrong. Flamestrike had agonized over it for moons. The pit of hatred inside was enough. No cat had the right to judge his actions. Every clan had suffered at the paws of Bear. He had been the one to end the suffering, personal feelings aside. This piece of Skyclan foxdung had no right to speak to him that way.

Before he could launch himself at Hawkstrike, Larksong had beat him too it. The tom held back, allowing his clanmate to tear away at him. She could handle herself and take him out for the both of them. Not even a heartbeat later, the burly she-cat who had pushed the boundaries had picked up where her confrontational clanmate had left off. His blood boiled as she spoke. Kin-slayer. He thought to himself, repeating it silently and bitterly. While he supposed she was right about that much, the rest of her words only fueled his own growing rage instead of setting him off into despair once more. Flamestrike had no intent of killing her like she rambled on about, instead, he would simply leave her with wounds that would not be forgotten by the next gathering.

He had been so consumed with internal conflict, he was not prepared for when Addergaze launched himself at him. Her teeth dug into the flesh beneath his torn ear, and her claws dug into his shoulder. Flamestrike writhed furiously, a barrage of snarls erupting from his throat. The pain was a background noise to the building anger he felt towards all of the Skyclan cats. His claws slashed out at her chest, cutting into the skin beneath the thick fur. They snagged occasionally, but he was easily able to pull them free and continue the attack. Even if he could not break free from her grip, Flamestrike would slice up what little was in reach. She would pay for her words.

"You know nothing." He snarled back at her, "Many more cats would have died at his claws if it weren't for me. I live in the hellish reality of what I did everyday, but it was not for my own sake. It was for the forest!"

Flamestrike used front paw strike, dealing 13 damage and using 10 stamina.
Flamestrike is held for 2 more turns and is only able to use front paw moves. I can still fight you beotch.

"For the forest?" Addergaze spat, words sounding strained and muffled through due to the fact that her mouth was literally full of Flamestrike's fur and ear. If her face betrayed the fierce burning sensation that she felt whenever the ShadowClan tom's claws tore at her chest, she took solace in the fact that Flamestrike was unable to see her wince. Releasing her vicious hold for a few brief heartbeats, she sucked in a quick gulp of air before tightening her now crushing grasp around Flamestrike. "If it wasn't for you, he would of never come to the forest!" Addergaze seethed, practically spitting venom in the opposing toms face, her claws working themselves even deeper into his flesh at this point- straining so hard to tear at his muscle and flesh that it felt like her claws would simply snap.

"Trust ShadowClan to drag in a filthy, kin-slaying rogue," Addergaze paused to jeer the slur at Flamestrike with even more anger, "And practically welcome his rabbit-brained, carrion-munching murderer of a brother! The two of you must've fit in well with ShadowClan!" For a moment, there was a flash of a deeper rage in the smoldering depths of her eyes, hinting that perhaps her anger wasn't directed at Flamestrike himself, but something deeper. However, before any other confusing feelings could well up within her, Addergaze slithered forward once more to snap her teeth back into Flamestrike's abused ear and nape, resuming her vicious shaking.


Addergaze is still using 'Teeth Grip' on Flamestrike, Dealing -10 in Damage & Costing -20 in Stamina.
