Weaselkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Ashstar leapt onto the Tallrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather underneath the Tallrock for a Clan meeting!" she yowled commandingly.

Weaselkit poked his nose out of the nursery and crept forward, trying--and failing--to hide the smirk growing on his face. His soft brown fur was smooth and just groomed, and he sat down and sat straight, excitement bubbling within him.

Ashstar nodded approvingly at the young kit. "Weaselkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Weaselpaw. Your mentor will be Mossfoot. I hope she will pass down all she knows on to you."

A loud purr rumbled out of the newly-named Weaselpaw's throat. He was an apprentice now! His paws itched with the urge to leave the camp and bolt over the moors and hunt and fight and.. his head was filled with excitement at his upcoming training and the fact that he was one day closer to being a warrior! He bounced to his paws, looking excitedly for his new mentor.

Mossfoot grinned, stepping up to touch noses with her new apprentice. "Are you ready to start training, love?"

Weaselpaw purred, trying to keep himself from bouncing excitedly, and succeeded in the way of being still, but the energy still obvious in his face and tensed muscles. [color=dimgray"Of course I'm ready! I can't wait,"[/color] He exclaimed merrily.
