Training [Open for Raccoon's Apprentices]

Raccoonfang stood at the entrance to their open camp, waiting for her apprentice's to join her. She had a few but she was ready to train them all. They would turn into good warriors under her training. The brown she-cat's eyes scanned the clearing waiting to spot one of them.

Echopaw saw his mentor standing at the camp entrance, and was more than happy to bound over. He wasn't her only apprentice, but he felt no jealousy at the fact he didn't get her full attention. She was a good mentor, and as long as Windclan had well trained warriors he had no reason to complain. He also enjoyed the companionship of the others training with him.

As he approached, he tilted his head curiously to one side, fluffing up his coat slightly against the breeze that so easily drifted into the Windclan camp. He liked the openness of their territory, it was breathtaking, yet at the same time it did mean it was still fairly cold, even during Newleaf
"Are we training today? We haven't been out of camp in a while" Although he was still a fairly young apprentice, he'd long since done his best to lose his kit-like energy, and instead focus on learning as much as he could whilst causing as little trouble to everyone else as he could.

Wildpaw yawned and exited the apprentice's den after a short nap. He looked around and spotted Echopaw along with their shared mentor at the entrance. Were they planning some training? He padded over to the two cats and sat down. "What's up Raccoonfang? Gonna do some training?"

Nettlepaw had been sitting beside the fresh-kill pile, eyeing the prey that occupied it with interest. Not because she was hungry, but because she kept imagining her own successful catch being the biggest piece of prey that was in the fresh-kill pile. Her amber eyes scanned the camp, only to catch her mentor, Raccoonfang, standing at the entrance to the camp. Noticing that Echopaw and Wildpaw were heading over, she followed swiftly and greeted the other two apprentices and her mentor with an eager smile and a nod.
"Hey, Raccoonfang!" She began, then looked over at Wildpaw and Echopaw, "Well, what else would we be doing? Catching flies?" She finished, the sarcasm and humor in her voice clearly evident.

"Yes, we are going out on a patrol across both borders." The mentor informed her three apprentices. "We you are ready, I will lead all three of you over to the Riverclan border." Hopefully these other two were as easy going as Echopaw. "If you haven't eaten already then I suggest doing so now, if you have then lets go." The brown and white warrior said.

Echopaw nodded in greeting to Nettlepaw and Wildpaw, looking down as Nettlepaw stung them with her sarcasm. Still, it could be worse, he knew she didn't really mean it. He was just oversensitive.
Hearing something about the Riverclan border he cocked his head to one side cheerfully. Maybe he'd see Nutpaw there? His friend from Riverclan hadn't been around much lately.
"I've eaten, I'm ready to go when everyone else is"

Of course he hoped to see Nutpaw, but knew that if he did they wouldn't be able to talk for long. He had a duty as an apprentice to work hard on his training, and he wasn't going to let anyone interrupt that. Still, he was anxious, what if Nutpaw was a little offended that he didn't stay to talk? Well, as far as he knew she wouldn't even be there, so he pushed the thoughts to one side, he'd deal with them later if necessary

Wildpaw nodded at his mentor, heading over to the fresh-kill pile. Selecting a small rabbit, he quickly devoured it before padding back over to the small group. "Alright, I'm all ready to go," the orange cat said excitedly.

Nettlepaw perked up excitedly, not moving from where she had been sitting due to her already eating a while ago. She swiftly looked over at Echopaw with an apologetic glance, noticing how he had put his head down after her sarcastic remark. It had just been a joke, after all. Her voice was now colored with eagerness and thrill as she spoke, "Ready to go, Raccoonfang!"
