Shrikekit's ready to roll

Barkkit watched intently as Shrikekit continued to complain as he cleaned out his fur of the mud. With a confused look, he turned to Frecklekit. "Oh, that's mean..." he muttered after Shrikekit clarified that Specklekit has pushed him into the puddle. At first the, the small brown Tom didn't think much of it until Specklekit began to laugh and brag about her size, further proving her point by pushing Frecklekit down and jumping onto Hawkkit whom Barkkit hadn't noticed until there was a loud hiss as he tried to push the large she-cat off. What was this kit's deal?

"Hey!" Barkkit squeaked, turning to Specklekit as she was pushed off. "What is your deal?" He didn't want to start anything, but it wasn't fair that she was pushing everyone around. Staring at the she-cat intensely, Barkkit felt the hair on his back stand up as his tail stuck into the air.

Shrikekit had been licking mud from his pelt when Specklekit began to get more aggressive with some of the other kits. He looked up to watch a strange warrior limp past with a bad leg, but the big cat didn't stop the keep the kits under control. Shrikekit was slightly disappointed. He looked to be more interested in getting by unseen. The fluffy gray tomkit turned to watch the two bigger kits tussle a little, and he wished he had the courage to say something, but he bit his tongue and stayed silent. He didn't like this she-kit hitting others because she thought she had the right, especially kits like him and Frecklekit who were a lot younger and smaller. After glancing at Frecklekit with some concern, Shrikekit's attention was caught by Barkkit speaking in defense of the rest of them. The gray tom admired his fearless challenge, but didn't have enough courage himself to back him up and instead watched from the sidelines, water still dripping from his pelt.

OOC: Speckle is Norwegian with a gigantism mutation, if she's not bigger now, she will def later in life.

IC: Specklekit squeaked when she felt small claws scrape at her fur, hissing in annoyance more than anything she gave a hefty smack to the side of the side of Hawkkit's head as a message. "Hey! Keep your claws in Hawkkit!" She snapped before being heaved off and having Barkkit right up in her face. A confused frown darkened her face as she looked down at the ex-Shadowclan kit, "I'm just playing! I don't know what the big deal is?" She huffed, fur prickling in her confusion did they not want her to play with them? Paws shuffled with slight nervousness as she looked over at Shrikekit, then Frecklekit, then Hawkkit, then back to Barkkit. "Do you not want me to play with you guys anymore?" She asked, alarm stirring in her gut. She didn't want to be alone or left out!

He gave her a glare and then a confused look. "Keep my claws in? What's the point of that?" Bear had them battle with claws teeth and whatever else. He stood up, giving a hard shake in his pelt. "I thought you used claws!" He meowed, still confused. Hawkkit glanced around nervousness settling in, he was sticking out, he had to pass as clanborn!

"No," rumbled Blacktwig. "Claws and fangs can injure, and you kits are much too young to go to the medicine cat for a few days." He gave Hawkkit a sideways glance, as if he suspected traces of Bear's treachery in him. He wrapped his tail around his paws.

As soon as Specklekit got up and turned to the group nervously, Barkkit faltered. He couldn't stay mad at someone who didn't know, right? It was his job to tell her. "Just... don't be so rough. You can't push cats around like that, you know," he told her as sternly as a kit could get. He felt good about himself until he heard Hawkkit mention that he had never played without claws. How had he not? Barkkit and Redkit never played with claws when they were in the barn. Didn't all kits grow up like that? 

The small tom paused as Blacktwig intervened, talking about how none of them needed to make any visits to see the medicine cat. Barkkit had heard of them talking about the cat before, but he had no idea who that was. Suddenly sitting down, he blinked at the warrior before he glanced around at the crowd. "What's a medicine cat?" He asked.

IC: Shrikekit flicked his tail somewhat anxiously. He didn't want to exclude Specklekit just because she was getting excited, and offered a little smile of support. However, Hawkkit's behavior was making him a little concerned. "No... that's terrible..." He mumbled weakly in response before Blacktwig stepped in. His attention was grabbed by Barkkit asking what a medicine cat and he was immediately distracted. "What? How can you not know? The medicine cat takes care of all the sick cats! My mom told me she helps queens in the nursery somehow. I don't remember her name though." He said, thoughtfully glancing towards the medicine cat's den. Shrikekit had seen grown-up cats walking over there when they came back to camp hurt.

In the balmy weather that laced through the grass, Blacktwig tried not to settle down. "What Shrikekit said," meowed Blacktwig moderately. "Her name is Sparkflower... she's very nice, but don't pretend to be hurt just to visit her." Blacktwig twisted his body and stood up, seeing the fluffy slate-grey kit's confused expression towards Barkkit. He readied himself to move away from the group of kits.

Hawkkit curled his tail with a perplexed look before shaking his head. Clan cats were weird... It made sense that Bear had caught then so easily, they didn't fight with claws! When Barkkit asked what a medicine cat was, he barely managed to bite his tongue and not say his mother was one. He looked down at his paws and pushed at the ground with them, he had to blend in fast.

Sparkflower? There it was with the weird sounding names again. Combining two words into one name. He knew his name, Redkit's and Wolffang's names were like that, but everyone else's just sounded weird to him. At the barn, everyone had one name: Pepper, Bear, and others. At this, however, the tom decided not to say anything. All of the kits and even the warrior were looking at him with confused looks. Was he the only one who didn't know what a medicine cat was? Suddenly, Barkkit wanted to shrink away and hide. "Oh..." he muttered, glancing to Shrikekit. "She sounds nice!" he squeaked before turning back to Blacktwig. "I won't do that."
