She had to stop avoiding them, she had to stop being so timid. She had to prove she was real and not a waste of space. Like everyone thought she was.

Driftcloud padded out of the warriors den, her amber eyes nervously scanning the forest clearing. She desperately needed friends. And she desperately needed to be noticed. Driftcloud had realised she had been quiet for far too long and now that she was a warrior she'd have to do more talking.

The dusty warrior wandered over to the fresh-kill pile a and picked up a squirrel. She liked their tangy flavour. Her fluffy tail swished from side to side, swirling the dusty ground up around her. Her amber eyes flicked around camp. Driftcloud hoped someone would join her, maybe more, but that might be a but much for the timid warrior.
