Putting That Frustration to a Good Use [Open Hunting Patrol]

Moonlight padded towards the camp’s entrance. She still felt fairly awful after finding out about her poor daughter’s situation and only being able to wonder how her grandkits were, knowing they probably were born by now given how close she was to kitting when he was taken away from them.

However, clawing at the ground or trees wasn’t exactly a god way to stop thinking about it, so she thought on a good way to release some of those negative emotions and keep herself busy at the same time “Anyone up for a hunting patrol?”.

"Mind if I join you?" Eagleheart padded over to his former mentor. She looked ready to launch herself out into the forest. He felt the exact same way. It had been a long time since the two of them had been out together.

Moonlight smiled and nodded at her former apprentice “Sure! It will be nice to go on a patrol with you like the old times, Eagleheart” She purred before looking around, wondering if anyone else would join or if they were the only ones.

"Is it just us, or are we waiting for others?" He asked gruffly, pretending to be uninterested. The warrior was too proud to admit to wanting to go out alone with his former mentor. Eagleheart missed the simplicity of being an apprentice. Once more exploring the forest with Moonlight sounded great to him. It would be nice to have a little break from Addergaze and the kits too. Even though he loved them, Addergaze clearly wanted him out of the nursery and he wanted to stop pestering them for a bit

Moonlight looked around, letting some silent time pass to see if anyone else would join them. She only was waiting out of politeness, not wanting to be rude and leave right after she had called for a patrol in case someone else wanted to join, but deep inside she was hoping nobody else was interested, missing the old times as Eagleheart’s mentor and wishing to spend some time alone with her former apprentice “Well, I guess it’s just us, by the looks of it” She meowed with a smile before padding towards the entrance of camp, waiting for Eagleheart before keep going.

“It’s been a while since we were on a patrol together, or had a chance to talk to each other like this” She purred, allowing her paws to carry her to one of her favorite hunting spots, hoping that more prey would be found there with the arriving Newleaf.
