Leopardfang's Leader Ceremony

"Greetings Leopardfang." The honey sweet voice of the elder medicine cat said. Dawnflower finished her approach to the former deputy. The pale colored she cat stood slightly shorter than the deputy, but it wasn't going to cause any issue. "It's good to see you again, honestly I'm glad to see you Thrushstripe deserves a long break." The medicine cat said with a small chuckle.

"Alright time for the good part." Dawnflower let out a small content sigh, before speaking again. "With this life I give you healing. To heal any broken bonds, or mistrust, and most importantly to heal a clan in time of need, even in the most dire of times." The pale she-cat pressed her nose to the toms, before taking a step back.

"I'm trusting you Leopardfang." It wasn't like she never did trust him, but he was going to be leading Shadowclan, and that itself was a challenge. Dawnflower gave the tom a soft smile before joining the other cats once again.

Leopardfang didn't know what the other leaders' ceremonies had been like, but each of the cats he had encountered this night had brought a strong bittersweet feeling, even those that he hadn't known well. Although he had not been close to the elder, Dawnflower had held a deep amount of trust and respect from the deputy. Leopardfang had always valued her council and had greatly mourned the night the clan had found her motionless in the elders' den.

He gave her a small smile, pleased to see her once more. Leopardfang met her nose with his own halfway, and desperately wished he knew how to heal cats. He could always hurt someone at any point in time, but he was notoriously bad at helping other people pick up broken pieces. With StarClan's guidance, perhaps he could heal a long-broken clan. Although the pain was sharp and relentless, he clenched his jaw and dug his claws into the starry earth beneath him and refused to let it drag him down. Leopardfang dipped his head to her as she drew away, greatly appreciating the trust she was placing in him.

Another starry cat stepped forward with the grace that only time could give. Her pelt glittered like stars themselves, the white speckled back of her fur only further illustrated the star appearance. Long fur swayed at each step, and eyes looked back at the leader to-be. "Hello, Leopardfang." She greeted, stopping in the same pawsteps that the other cats had. Nightstar looked on, quiet for a moment. "You have grown into a fine cat. There will be no one better to take on the role of leader for our beloved clan." A purr escaped her throat, and blue eyes shone with pride. "Receiving lives can be stressful, and often tiring. Leading a clan is doubly so. Thus, with this life, I give you determination. The ability to persevere through obstacles by sheer power of will. A resolute trait that I know you will use well." The former Leader touched noses with the to-be leader. Once it was done, Nightstar lifted her head once more and returned back to her position--content with the direction her clan is taking.
