Axel settled down and ate, mind still racing from the encounter with Xander; his throaty ultimatums still ringing in his ears, how menacing the stranger sounded. It scared Axel enough. After eating, he excused himself to submerge himself in contemplation. He wouldn't mind it if anyone joined him... in fact, it would comfort him. He just didn't know how to handle this new threat.

Jessie took a deep breath. "We were in the barn taking care of our usual business and Jax, you know how clumsy he was, he knocked over rhe kerosine lamp and it started a fire. My parents tried to save the animals but they all died Jax had run out of the barn with me and our parents went back into the barn to save the aninals but they were taking to long. Finally Jax said to go call 911 and ran back into the barn. I ran ti the hosue and called 911 and by the tine they got here it was to late. They had died." She said.

James blushed but nodded.

Xander pulled her into a hug, silent tears forming in his eyes. "I'm so sorry to hear that..." his depressing tone sinking. "I disappeared before that, I know, I did something stupid and was arrested for it. If I had just been there..." he choked out the last few words, his anger rising. He let go of Jessie and walked over to the gutter and slammed his fist into it, face beat red and veins bulging out of his neck.

Jamie gently stroked his chin, bringing it down to her's. Electricity engulfed her, stimulating her entire body from her lips to the tips of her toes. She rested her arms on his hips, pulling herself into him.

James brought his arms to rest over her shoulders as the talk boy looked down at Jamie.

Jessie patted Xander's shoulder comfortingly. Cander was as close as her family as she was, heck he had practically lived on her small farm.

Breathing deeply, Xander turned to look at her, "Can I confide in you?" he inquired, deep brown eyes glimmering with concern. He knew he could, so he walked the to of them over to some old milk crates, where he took a seat. "While I was at the McFly Farm, I ended up getting into a fight with some other kids. Now you may think that isn't such a bad thing, but it was. There were these two kids, brothers, and they would pick on me, because of my dark skin. Eventually I had had enough. They caught me in the wrong mood one day and I snapped; I used everything in my grasp to beat them. They ended up going to the hospital and were entered into the ICU, but since I had never told the McFlys about it, I was labled as a dangerous child." Xander paused to collect his thoughts, "So, life went on, then again I was ridiculed for my looks, this time I had had enough. Jess, I stabbed this boy... I stabbed him for calling me 'Slim Jim'" there was a slight break in his voice as he choked back tears.

Jamie smiled, "What are you thinking right now?" she asked him, placing her hand against his; measuring how much smaller her's were than his.

James smiled. "You." He said.

Jessie gasped. She flee over and pulled Xander into a hug. She gripped on as tight as she coukd and held the boy who was twice her size. Under his scary tough demeanor he was like a lost puppy.

Jamie felt her skin heat up, she let him go and then hoisted herself up on to the fence next to him. "And why is that?" she asked.

Xander hugged her, his strong arms wrapping around her, then he gently pulled back, "After a few years in juvie, I was released to come here on good behavior. I met Jamie, we clicked rather quickly, became quite serious, and then she dumped me without reason. I was crushed and angry, so I took it out on myself," he lifted his grey shirt to reveal a large scar that stretched across his lower abs. "So I was sent back, but Miss Sadie is giving me another chance to prove myself. Will you help me?" his chestnut eyes were glimmering with sorrow.

Archer's blood was boiling, everytime he touched Jessie it infuriated him.

Jessie traced the scar. "You hurt yourself to? Both when you were taken away and wheb my parents died i cut so i know your pain." She said tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

James shrugged. "Why wouldnt i?" He asked leaning on the railing next to her.

Xander smiled and took her hand, "So tell me, Jess, who is this fella Jamie is dating?" he wasn't completely telling her the truth, but he felt that she would turn on him if he did.

Jamie shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know, I don't have THAT much to offer," she laughed sarcastically.

James laughed and shook his head.

Jessie scratched the back of her neck. "Well hes real nice. Hes my half-brother. Same father." She said waving her hand.

"Oh, so you agree?" Jamie said cooly, hopping down from the fence. She faced him and planted her fists on her hips, "I see how it is," she tossed her hair back over her shoulder.

Xander grinned, "Good, good. I'd, uh, love to meet him sometime," he rose from where he sat and held out a hand for her.

James shook his heada in front of him. "No no no Jam i didnt mean it like that. You just dont see your beautiful." He blushed.

Jessie took his hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze.

Jamie laughed a little, "No, no, I see it, I just enjoy hearing it," she gave a dry laugh and then grew solemn. "James, sometimes my confidence gets in the way, you know what I mean?" she hopped off the fence and looked at him. "Like, I've dated a lot-I mean a few guys, and every time it's like they either don't commit because I'm too strong and too confident, or they don't treat me like a woman, they treat me like a bodyguard." her tone flatlined at the end of her statement. She got that same cold, deathly feeling she always had when those guys are around, mocking and laughing at her. She crouched on the ground, knees pulled up to her chest, and head buried in her arms.

Xander smiled, "Jess, I could really use some better clothes than these, do you know where I can borrow some?" he inquired. The scratchy gray scrub-like clothing was beginning to irritate his skin.

Jessie laughed. "Yeah you can have some of Jax's clothing that i beougjt from my old farm. Cone on follow me." She said and led the back to the back entrance and walked in. She walked up to her room and opened the door pulling her smaller trunk from under her bed and grabing Xander some clothes. She walked over to him and placed them in his hands.

James crouched down next to Jamie and patted her on the back. "You ok?"

Xander smiled, "Thank you, Jessie," he gave her a small hug and then turned to the door, "Can I use the bathroom I saw down the hall?" he asked, slightly laughing.

Jamie dropped her head onto her knees, "Yeah, just forget it..." her heart was aching, but she knew James wouldn't understand what she was talking about, and in an attempt of not repeating herself, she just brushed it off like she always did.
