"Ok." James said but he was filled with doubt.


Jessie returned the hug. "Yeah go for it." She said.

Xander smiled and walked down the hall to the bathroom. He slipped into one of the stalls and changed quickly into the jeans and t-shirt provided, and then rejoined Jessie. "Alright, so what now?" he asked retying his sneakers.

Jamie looked up at him, "James, can I tell you a secret?" she asked not exactly wanting to, but knew she should.

Archer walked out frWeom behind the stairs and looked at the two of them, he approached Jessie and threw his arm around her shoulders, "We are going to town, you can get settle while we're gone," he had a slight attitude that hung on the end of his statement.

Jessie piked Archer in the ribs gently and shot him a look like be careful.

James nodded looking at the girl.

Archer huffed and then removed his arm, "Alright, fine, I see, no you know what, have fun, I'm out of here." He threw his hands in the air and then stormed out of the hallway. Bounding down the steps and out the front door, he walked down the long gravel driveway and started for town. He was outraged that Jessie would choose that escape over him, considering that her best friend told her that that guy beat and controlled her! He didn't stop until he reached the first sidewalk in town, he then ducked into a nearby alleyway and leaned against the wall. Rage consumed him as he thought more and more about Xander and Jessie together, he felt his stomach turn, he began to heave from the pain and humiliation.

Jamie took in a deep breath, "The only reason I'm so...um... harsh? Is because I'm always ridiculed for being confident and proud of who I am. I've been treated like a piece of meat my whole life, and yet no one has ever said what I truly am... Am I making any sense?" she could feel the burn of tears in the back of her throat and thought she might be babbling.

Xander looked at Jessie, wondering what she was going to do; if she left, that would mean he would have to venture around alone, and that may compromise his mission.

"Jackpot," Natalie whispered under her breath. Natalie was glad James had heard Xander and Jessie talking. They had definitely said what would turn out to be useful information about Xander. Jessie was really close to him, Jamie had dumped him, and he had gone to juvenile hall multiple times. The thing she took most note in was that he seemed to want to talk to James, which might be useful. She gestured for Adam to follow her to the barn, so they could analyze their information.

Adam followed, hoping that Natalie had a plan that matched up to his. He entered the barn and went upstairs to the loft, gesturing for her to follow. He sat down on a hay bail and motioned for her to join. "So what do you think we should do?" he questioned.

"Well, I still think Xander is a load of crap. If you me, we have to have the bull get himself in trouble, and simply just wave the red cape. First, I want to see Jamie's reaction to him and James's reaction to him. If neither of those get me any ideas, There's plan B. I might just taunt him into attempting to attack someone. I mean, no one here would stand a chance against him in a fight, but I'll come up with some way. If it doesn't work, we'll convert to plan C and we'll frame him," Natalie explained her ideas to James, eager to get to putting them to use. In her first moments of rage she might be uncontrollable, but after that comes thoroughly thought out plans of revenge. Natalie could be both smart and sly if she wanted to be. "And we will get the treehouse back," she couldn't help but adding.

Adam nodded, "I'm getting that back now, and anyway, I think those are all good ideas. Let's go out to the fields and spy on James and Jamie," he said rising to his feet.

"Good idea, let's go. Trust me, we'll put Xander in his place." Natalie started off towards the field at a quick pace, not wanting to waste even a second. She spotted the two of them pretty quickly, and started looking around for a place to see and not be seen.

Adam spotted an old oak tree that was behind them, he silently stalked up to it and then swiftly climbed up it, not disturbing the two below. He hoped that Natalie was as good a climber as she is a runner.

Natalie swiftly followed after Adam, almost silently climbing up the oak tree. Though she had many flaws, the inability to climb was not one of them. She hoped this conversation would give them some useful information, though it looked a little too peaceful to be about Xander.

Adam listened carefully and realized this conversation was about Jamie and past relationships, not Xander in particular. He looked at Natalie wondering if she wanted to stay for this.

James frowned angrily. "Well you arent meat. Your an independent woman who i dont just see as a friend i see you as well.. more." He said blushing.

Jessie huffed but sadness flashed in her eyes when Archer left.

Jamie looked up at him, surprised, "More?" she inquired. She turned to face him, her face brightening, and waited to hear what she was expecting.

Xander wrapped his arm around Jessie in comfort, he knew what Archer thought, but he didn't know how to deal with this. so instead he just cleared his throat and mumbled, "How about we go meet up with your brother, and Jamie, and see if they are ready to go." He then, not waiting for her answer, pulled her with him toward the stairs.

Jessie nodded and followed Xander.
