Snakekit's Apprentice Ceremony

Blizzardshine leaped onto the Highrock, ready for another ceremony “All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather under the Highrock for a clan meeting!”.

Emberheart trotted casually towards the High Rock, her white-tipped tail high and waving, dust-colored eyes flickering contently around the clearing. The sun felt warm but not too hot on her shoulders, and she let out a satisfied purr, wrapping her tail neatly around her paws. A patch of bright russet on her toe stood out blindingly from the rest of her body.

Snakekit bounced excitedly when she heard the deputy's yowl. She padded forward towards the Highrock and took a deep breath to calm her racing heart. She stood a bit to the side, waiting to be called on. She wondered who her mentor would be, hopefully someone patient.

Blizzardshine smiled at the excited kit as she approached “Snakekit, please, step forward”.

Snakekit held her head and tail high as she approached the deputy. With a dip of her head, she waited for the ceremony to start.

Blizzardshine smiled at Snakekit before taking a deep breath “Snakekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Snakepaw. I will mentor you. I hope I can pass down all I know on to you” With that she jumped off the Highrock, walking towards the new apprentice to touch noses with him.

Snekekit, now Snakepaw smiled at her new mentor, honored to be the apprentice of the deputy. She nodded. "And I hope I'll be able to live up to your expectations and become a good warrior one day." she said as they touched noses.
