Sootwhisper took his time checking the borders, carefully sniffing the trees and bushes and marking some areas before returning to where his clanmates were, listening to their ideas for hunting. Well, they were already all the way over this specific section of the territory and the lack of cats hunting around these areas lately given the attention put on the territory near and surrounding the borders they shared with WindClan could make this hunt a successful one. Instead of replying he simply nodded in agreement, giving his approval to proceed with the hunting.

Smokeface dismissed Tawnystorm's invite to rant by flicking his tail up and crouching low, scenting the air for any hint of prey. He remembered his assessment, when he had sworn every fish he caught to his friends and family, but that did not mean he was when it came to land prey, well, like a fish on the ground. He chuclked at the tjought and made a mental note to tell Tawnystorm something of that kind if he got the chance, before curling his tail in excitement and follow a wispy scent that he later discovered as  a waterfowl. The tomcat crept close enough, and when he had the chance, he sprang up and pounced on it. The unsuspecting prey was an eas catch, and the smoky warroir lifted his head with the hint of a smug smile, challenging his former mentor in a playful manner.
