Blazepaw and Grasspaw's Warrior Ceremony

Blazepaw gave Grasspaw an excited loving looking and stepped up beside her.

Blizzardshine took a deep breath “I, Blizzardshine, deputy of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these two apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn” Her gentle eyes soon landed on the younger cats“ Blazepaw, Grasspaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your lives?”.

"I do," Grasspaw meowed with determination ringing in her voice. Moons of training and waiting had lead to this moment and she still believed as strongly in her clan as she had at the start.

Blazepaw glared quickly at Grasspaw who he could see in the corner of his eye. "I do." He meowed.

Blizzardshine nodded approvingly, smile widening before speaking once more “Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names” She first looked at Blazepaw “Blazepaw, from this moment you will be known as Blazestrike. StarClan honors your kindness and bravery, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan” After that she turned to look at Grasspaw “Grasspaw, from this moment you will be known as Grasswhisker. StarClan honors your curiosity and devotion, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan” With that, she leaped off the Highrock and rested her muzzle on the newly named warriors’ heads to conclude the ceremony.

Blacktwig cheered with glee. "Grasswhisker! Blazestrike!" he howled, feeling like rising on his paws. He always felt as if he had a special connection to the duo, even if they weren't as close to him as Mothstrike was. Joy lit up his orbs, laced with a glitter. The virtues that Grasswhisker and Blazestrike had displayed were utterly true, and Blazestrike reminded him of his long deceased uncle, Blazingleap. It would only make him more mournful. He avoided looking so woebegone at a blithe ceremony, a wide smile on his face.

Blazestrike grinned and turned to Grasswhisker. " Grasswhisker! Grasswhisker!!"

"Blazestrike! Blazestrike!" She yowled happily. Grasswhisker closed her eyes and basked in the cheers of her name. I did it! I did it! I'm going to be the best warrior Thunderclan has ever seen. The newly appointed warrior vowed to herself.

Emberheart leapt to her paws, raising her head to yowl the new warriors' names, happiness coursing through her russet-furred body.

"Blazestrike! Grasswhisker! Blazestrike! Grasswhisker!"
