| Morningfog rose her head a bit in a desperate attempt to keep the kit out the freezing water. She stalled herself to let the two swim together and then pushed with her side to bring them both to the bank. Once there, she clawed at the muddy ground to pull herself. After placing the kit down, the warrior laid her head down in the semi-frosted mud. Her body was more than halfway in the water as she was too tired to pull herself the rest of the way, her blood mingled in the shallow pockets of water of the bank. She looked up at Spiderfur and nudged the kit closer to the WindClan warrior. ______________________________________   #LEAFYALSOSINNED-Bun Don't be afraid to PM me if you want me in your plot, I'll most likely say yes! Things to look for: Look closely at Pepper's text color, it changes to a lighter color as her plot progresses! Any topic that affects a cross between Bat and Pepper will have something to do with fire. Morningfog will occasionally have a topic that relates to mornings. These may or may not be important. It's mostly just for fun. |

| The kit looked dead.
Her usual puffy calico fur was soaked, darkened. And her white legs were covered in a blackish substance, filling the air with a sour tang. The only bright thing on her was a white bone. It was tearing halfway out of her leg.
Deerkit's breathing was shallow and uneven, almost not there. Her heart was beating quickly, overtime, and her blue eyes were still open, staring unseeingly ahead. A sudden spasm reached her body, out of no where, and her eyes widened, water spilling down onto the ground and her already soaked pelt—and then, for the very first time in her short life, the tiny calico kit let out an ear-splitting scream of pure agony.

| Spiderfur watched, pacing the bank anxiously, looking for some sign of life. There! The Riverclan warrior was swimming her way with Deerkit in tow. But something was deadly wrong. When the little she-kit was pushed onto shore, the shard of bone sticking out of her leg immediately drew the warrior's gaze. There was so much blood. Was she even alive?
The loud screech easily answered her question.
"Thank you," was all she could say before taking the kit in her jaws and running in the direction of camp. The taste of blood was getting stronger in her mouth. She'd never run as fast as she did then before in her entire life. ______________________________________ |
