A Simple Border Skirmish [closed]

IC: Making his way through the SkyClan territory, Antdrop lead a patrol towards the Fallen Oak. The light wooded forest was quiet and peaceful, something they all needed after the last gathering. The warrior still couldn't believe what had happened but decided to move his thoughts away from that night.

It didn't seem like the Fallen Oak had been patrolled for quite some time and he thought it'd be a good place to start. The black tom walked next to Vixenheart and Moonlight, glad to have the she-cat's company. As sad as it seemed for him to not have a mate sense Pebblethorn, he was kind of glad to not one. She-cats could be oddly complicated at times and in his opinion, it was easier not to deal with them.

Moonlight walked behind Antdrop, and though she was trying her best to be useful to the patrol her thoughts drifted off to her missing son, Sagepaw, a bit too often for her liking. She was just way too worried, and the only thing that gave her some kind of comfort was the fact that they hadn’t found his body anywhere, what meant that he could still be alive…no, he had to be alive, somewhere…he just had to be…

Vixenheart padded beside the two warriors, her amber eyes looking around at the tall trees and the differently colored leaves that were scatted across the ground, coating the ground in a red, orange, and yellow blanket. The ginger-and-white she-cat had been thinking about nothing but the awful storm ever since it had occurred, which was sooner than recently, but perhaps going on this patrol would take her mind off of it.

Reaching the Fallen Oak, Antdrop took a moment to mark the border and trotted back over to the she-cats. So far everything seemed normal and peaceful, and the warrior was glad that nothing was ruining the peaceful day. Letting out a yawn, the tom turned around towards the big tree and titled his head to the side. It was so big and he wondered what had happened to make it fall.

Just then, the rustle of leaves caught Antdrop's attention. Perking his ears and unsheathing his claws, the strong scent of ThunderClan floated past his nose and his fur stood on edge. "Who's there?" the black warrior meowed questionably, arching his back a little. Those ThunderClan cats better not be thinking of doing anything funny...

Mosswing's ears perked up at the sound of a voice. She halted the patrol behind her and sniffed the air. "Hang on, is that SkyClan?" The scent was strong and undeniable. They were near - how near? "Ay, show yourself!" she called, unsheathing her claws and slightly arching her back.

Mothpaw followed Mosswing.

Letting out a hiss, Antdrop soon saw the ThunderClan patrol and arched his back. "Oh look, it's just some ThunderClan mousebrains," he meowed softly but just loud enough for the other patrol to hear. With other clans, he wasn't so aggressive but he didn't particularly like ThunderClan.

"Fernpaw hush your gonna get us into trouble!" The tortoiseshell apprentice meowed to the younger tom. Mothpaw sighed. It sicker being one of the oldest apprentices in the clan.

'Well, Fernpaw's right. What do you want?" Mosswing stepped forward. She didn't want to cause any harm, but she kept her claws unsheathed. You never knew, after all. "And trust us, we aren't the mousebrains."

What did they want? The question ran through Antdrop's head. "We want you ThunderClaners to stop being so lenient about the borders," the black tom meowed with his teeth bared, looking to the ThunderClan she-cat.

Moonlight looked at the ThunderClan patrol, careful to stay behind Antdrop, her fur starting to raise with all the tension. She didn’t unsheathe her claws just yet, but if anything happened she wouldn’t just stay there and watch.
