Lionfur touched the kit he was licking. "How about... Owlkit for this one?" A nice, strong name for a strong she-cat. "Squirrelkit for this one." He nudged the first kit he had warmed up. "For the others.... I'm not sure, what do you think?"

Owlkit squealed and hugged her paws around her fathers paw. Right after she dug her face under her mane and drifted too her sleep again. Her Mews and squeals died out and her breathing became soothing and she was asleep snuggled beside her mother and her paws close too her fathers. Being able too sence the comforting licks of her fathers tongues made her sleep deeply.

Right after the kits had been born, Cindercloud had stepped aside to let the pair of mates have their moment together. The kits were beautiful, and as Lionfur named both of them, she silently agreed that those names matched them perfectly. It was only after a few more heartbeats that she spoke again.
"They're beautiful," She said, softly, "They all look very strong and healthy as well, so that's good."

The small, calico-looking she-cat squirmed, her ginger-brown patches glinting in the feeble light.
Her movements were small, jerky, but she did it, and even managed to push one of her siblings aside to suckle.
When she was filled, not long after, she moved around, wriggling, to fall asleep next to her litter mates. Her breath rose and fell evenly, calmly.

OwlKit flicked her ear and heard another cats voice and her back bristled cautiously while fighting the deep sleep she shrugged it off and fell asleep quietly again.

Nightheart smiled with Cindercloud’s words, pride filling her as her eyes landed on her kits. The dark queen nodded with the names that Lionfur suggested, liking them quite a lot. She looked at the first she-cat she had given birth to, trying to not fall asleep while trying to think on a good name for her “Deerkit…” Her eyes then traveled to the next kit, the tom “Elmkit…” She had to shake her head to stay awake, looking at the next tom “Stag…kit…” she placed her head between her paws, her eyes landing on the small white and grey kit that she had adopted not long before she gave birth to her own “Ha…Haze…kit….” She said almost on a whisper.

Owlkit shuffled and shifted the otherway so it was more comfortable and slept happily in the litter.

Stagkit moved closer to the rest of his litter and fell asleep comfortably.
