The small kit, born only one moon ago, swayed slightly on her small pinkish paws, steadying herself against the world. Her fur was already as long as most of the other, older kits, and this trait came assumedly from her mother.
Snowkit was a frosty white-furred she, which was how she got her name, and there were mottled pale spots of grey and black along her not-fully-grown-in pelt. Long black lashes, too large for her face, made her eyelids heavy, and most of the time now, they were half-way closed or all the way closed, unlike the other bright-eyed kits.
The nursery was loud for her, and the voices crowded into her mind as she stood in a corner without much moss. Only dirt touched the bottoms of her paw-pads and a small, nearly unnoticeable shiver passed through her body.

Driftkit looked up from where she was snuggled close up to her family.She glanced around spotting the snow white she huddled up.The dusty grey kit was barely older than the snow white kit but but somehow Driftkit looked a lot better for wear.Driftkit wanted to say something to her,or just see if she was OK but the small she-kit's shy personality was taking over.she quickly looked away from Snowkit.I've got to say something!stop being so meek Driftkit she told herself.The dusty kit shakily rises up to standing and tried to pad as gracefully as she could to the younger kit.Upon reaching Driftkit suddenly closed up she wanted to speak but she wouldnt.She wanted to just run away now but she couldn't.Her body had just gone in to shut down and now Driftkit was shaking.Stop being so timmid!Be more like Galekit and just ask.she told herself again."A-re y-you...OK?"Driftkit stuttered meekly.

Snowkit's eyes were placed unseeingly through the ground, through the dirt and mud that lightly, cooly, pressed against her sensitive paw pads.
At the sound of a kit shuffling over, she lifted her head, her eyes half-shut, and stared in the direction of the pale grey kit. Her eyes, surprisingly, although only half were visible, were stunning. One was a dark, shining green, and the other was a blazing yellowish-gold. There were still traces of the pale blue that all kits have around the outskirts of her pupils, but it was obvious that it was already beginning to fade away.
When the kit spoke, Snow pressed her paws further into the dirt.
I am fine, she thought. I am fine.
But the voices in the nursery crowded into her mind again and she squeezed her eyes shut for a heartbeat.
"I'm fine," Snowkit repeated aloud, but her voice sounded unusually high pitched, even to her, and she winced. Her tail-tip twitched.
"I—I mean," she coughed, looking around desperately for her brother. He always knew what to do.

Driftkit studied Snow kit.She saw her glance around uneasily and knew she wasn't fine.Driftkit looked at her paws she was terrifiedI have to ask her,she's lying she thought.The dusty kit looked at Snowkit's mismatched eyes and quickly glanced away shivering slightly.Driftkit's blazing amber eyes scoured the nursery,what was Snow looking for?Then it hit Driftkit she was looking for her littermate,the two were very similar.Eventually the she with drifting cream swirls spoke up"You're not fine Snowkit,I c-an t-tell you're n-ot.I c-an also t-tell you want y-your brother."Driftkit was surprised she sounded alot more confident,but she still felt like she was stuck in a fox trap.The young she glanced at her paws and her fluffy tail twitched uneasily..The kit mustered up all her courage and looked into the stunning mismatched eyes of Snowkits with her glowing amber orbs.

A small, bob-tailed kit had popped his head from the nursery. He had bounded towards his adorable sister, already adapting to his new tiny paws and being very acquainted with the forms of walking and running despite being born recently.

"Snowkit!" Heavykit purred cheerfully, his rounded body plopping right next to his sibling, nuzzling into her lovingly as he always has. Giving a bright smile towards the other kit he saw talking to Snowkit prior to his sudden appearance. He saw how his sister looked, noticing her looking a bit distressed. He was aware of her sensitive hearing, and often times stood by her. But this time he had overslept by mistake rather than waking up before she did, and took initiative to rush to her side.

"You didn't make Snowkit cry, did you?" He asked, the white and black patched kit giving a very ominous half-attempted smile when asking such an out-right question. Despite his friendly demeanor, something was always off about it with how this kit spoke.

Driftkit smiled when Snowkit's littermate bounded over.The dusty she was glad he was here but she just closed uo more.Driftkit began to shrink up against the nursery wall.The moment Heavykit accused her of hurting Snow she hissed.Her amber eyes blazed and she flicked her tail.She didn't know what to say would the tom believe her if she told the truth...Driftkit doubted it.The little bundle of dusty grey looked at her paws,she was to timmid.A tear rolled down Driftkit's muzzle.She looked from Snowkit to Heavykit,as her eyes rested on Heavykit she shot him a cold glance.How dare he accuse me of hurting Snowkit she thought.Driftkit'stail thrashed around angrily.The kit looked at Heavykit fear and anger clear in her glowing amber eyes."I...Did...Not...Hurt...Her."Driftkit mewed slowly and with ice."Why would you think I would?"She added with a flick of her tail.Driftkit couldn't believe it she had said something without stuttering to a complete stranger.Even though she was angry Driftkit's face showed pride and happiness now.

Snowkit's fear faded away when her brother padded over, and she pressed her head sideways into his fluffy white and black patched pelt, her eyes still locked onto Driftkit's amber ones. Heavykit and Snowkit weren't like ordinary siblings, that were friendly but grew apart as they became older. They were close, closer than most, and Snowkit needed Heavykit desperately.
The frosty, black-and-grey mottled she frowned at the loud, scraping noise of hissing that came from Drift. For the first time, Snowkit heard the power behind the she, and she saw muscles, strange for a kit only slightly older than her, to have beneath her brushed light grey pelt.
"She didn't." she whispered to her brother quickly, one ear flattened but the other forward uncertainly. "She's nice. I like her." At this, both her ears went down, and she pressed herself closer to the spotted tom, unsure if she would have to defend him.
I can't fight! I'm pathetic! Snowkit scanned her mind, thinking quickly of anything her mother had told her about fighting. Um, uh…belly? Something about the belly. Lick the belly, was that it? I hope it was. I think it was. I thought it would be a little more gruesome than that, but—
Half of her was glad that Driftkit seemed to care so much about whether she was hurt or not, but the other part was upset that her brother seemed threatened.
And then, in a heartbeat, Driftkit's tension wore away, and she was pleased with herself. Snowkit felt her fur flatten in relief.
There won't be a fight.

His ears erected sharply upon hearing his sister's whispering. Taking in what she had said, he had stopped provoking the other kit. Not wanting to cause a scene in the clan, let alone his loving sibling.

"Just as long as Snowkit didn't cry!" He stated. Though yes he is a kit and couldn't have done much if his precious sister's distress was caused intentionally, but he felt the obligation to keep a closer eye on Snowkit. His tail swayed against the ground or whatever tail he has; with it being just a nub there wasn't much he could do.

"So if Snowkit is okay, I'm okay." Heavykit's gleaming smile towards his sister shined once again, nuzzling his head against hers to ease her even more. But he still felt off put about this stuttering mess of a kit, and wasn't very fond of her. But he'll let this grey pelt be upon his sibling's wishes.

Littlekit opened his eyes. From his spot in his nest with his mother the tiny kit rose put of his nest and hopped out. Though the black Bengal tom with yellow eyes was small, and named that way for his tiny size when he was born just barely bigger than his father's big paws he wasn't quiet. The tom padded over to the other kits. Usually Littlekit would play with the three oldest kits in the nursery Mothkit, Lightningkit, and Blazekit who were Doon going to be apprentices. Mothkit was the oldest, but wasn't made an apprentice with her sister Mottledpaw. Yes he knew all about his older friends. Sometimes another older kit, Emberkit, would play with them. "Hi! I'm Littlekit what's your names?" He meowed tilting his head curiously.

Driftkit looked from Heavykit to Snowkit.She knew she preferred out of the two.She rested her eyes on Heavykit he wore an odd expression a mixture between relief and anger.Driftkit didn't get Heavykit.The dusty she looked up as the black Bengal tom introduced himself."Oh...Hi I'm...um...Driftkit. "Mumbled the she cat she really felt awkward here.Littlekit was so happy and bubbly,Snowkit and Heavykit she just didn't get him.Maybe they could just all play to release the tension." Well,this is a-kward,maybe we could play?It'd be f-un,I g-guess,"mewed Driftkit stuttering slightly but not as bad as she normally did around new people.The she glanced around before protectively curling her tail around herself.

Littlekit beamed. "Sure! Sounds like a great idea!" The tom purred.

Driftkit smiled happily,letting out a sigh of relief."I know what to play,we could pretend to be warriors.Big strong ones like Pinewhisker and Blacktwig!"Purred Driftkit but she quickly glanced down at the ground.The dusty kit licked her soft fluffy coat, it seemed to be growing longer than usual.The fluffy she-kit glanced at the other kits waiting for a reply."I'll be...Driftcloud...I mean if you want...to play,"Driftkit mewed sheepishly.She liked the name Driftcloud it suited her.

"Can I join in?" A voice called from across the crowded nursery Dawnkit just wanted to play it wasn't her fault that she was rejected by all the other cats in the clan because of who her parents were. Speaking of that who were her parents she only had a meager memory. "I'll be Dawnstar! Leader of mighty ThunderClan!"

Driftkit stared at the other kit she didn't know if they were even playing.The other kit had made her jump and he dusty fur had all fluffed up.The she-catbwas slightly annoyed at her fur she'd just cleaned it.The kit got straight back to cleaning her fluffy dusty grey pelt.
Driftkit glanced around once she had cleaned her fluffy coat."You want to play do you?"Driftkit asked timmedly.Driftkit's face broke into a smile as she jumped ,ready to play."Well,I am...Going to get...you!"Yowled the she-cat playfully as she batted at Dawnkit.

Dawnkit was prepared for her like any leader and deflected a few swats but one came flying to her face she play- hissed, "Filthy ShadowClan flea-pelt get away from our camp!" she struck a blow and it missed just by a bit and her green eyes shone with clear disappiontment.
