The Clover's pool shines no more.. (OPEN DEATH TOPIC)

Cloverpool was old. Older than every one except Frozenflame. The she cat knew Bluesong had retired earlier than her but her granddaughter had the unmistakable sign of old age with aching joints and cracking bones, but Cloverpool was blessed with none of those but instead retired because she was to old to be a warrior, and because her chest hurt any time she did any more physical activities. Her last litter which concluded of Burningpaw had really taken a lot out of her and it became harder to move and do things around the camp. She had swore when she was a kit to live until she saw her great great great grandchildren and her goal had been accomplished many times over. She had given her life in service to Starclan, and now they were calling to her. Her many children and grandchildren and great grandchildren were finally ready to receive her as one of their warriors. Padding out of the elders den slowly the brown tortoiseshell she cat made her way to a spot somewhere in the camp where her family and friends could join her until she leaves to join Starclan. "Friends, family if you would gather around to spend your final moments with me before I join my children and grandchildren in Starclan, then this would be the happiest day of my life. Even if it is a dark gloomy day." Cloverpool meowed laying down and waiting for her family and friends to come and join her. The sky was indeed dark and gloomy as rain clouds started to gather in the sky, as the sky was already cloudy. Soon the sky would be so full of tears that it will rain down around them. What better way to go than with family and friends at your side?

Blacktwig limped up to Cloverpool, injury still bugging him like a pesky fly. He glanced at Cloverpool. "You won't die," he said with denial, like he had to himself when he was training with Sedgewhisker. He had known that the tom had trained his mother, and he was baffled by how old some cats could get. "Here." Blacktwig mumbled, nudging a small mouse forwards with his muzzle.

The raindrops had began to fall. Blacktwig was grateful for the warmth of these dens, especially when the dirt began to fall away into mud. Blacktwig yawned. "Is it just me, or does bad weather make you feel tired?" Blacktwig asked, deciding to wash away the dull, gloomy mood with a little bit of off-conversation small talk.

Sheeppaw padded over, curious as to why Cloverpool had called them over. Cloverpool was related to her through some sort of way, but the family line went back so long she had no clue. She sat down beside the tortoiseshell, eyes concerned.
"What's wrong, Cloverpool?" Sheeppaw asked, worried. Yet, she also flicked her ear in greeting to Blacktwig.

Stormstrike padded out of the warriors den, before he heard Cloverpool's call for her family. He obediently padded over to the elder, Sheeppaw, and Blacktwig. Stormstrike was very glad to see Cloverpool again, considering that he had been missing for a while. He knew that Cloverpool's time to go would be very, very soon, but how soon would it really be? He lay down on the other side of Cloverpool, giving her a lick between the ears.
"Hi, Cloverpool, He began, softly, "Are you alright?"

Blacktwig seemed worried. He nodded to Stormstrike and Sheeppaw. "Stormstrike, Sheeppaw," he meowed in greeting. The tom shifted over to allow the two some room beside the elderly she-cat.

Cloverpool smiled warmly at her family. As she heard the rain drops fall on top of the elder's den where there was plenty of room. "I just want to spend my last few moments with friends and family." She replied.

Blacktwig pressed his cheek to Cloverpool's. "Well, we're here, and I'm sure Mistywater and the others will come soon." He whispered, curling his tail around himself and resting his head on his paws, grateful for the shelter they had.

Cloverpool smiled. "Yes you are right."

Mothkit scurried inside the Elders den all the way from the nursery. She had heard Cloverpool's call and came running. She had only recently found out that she was her great great great grandmother.

Blacktwig broke into a small purr. He gestured with his tail for his daughter to sit beside him. "Come here, Mothkit," he mewed, gaze warm. He let out a sigh of happiness. Cloverpool wasn't guaranteed to die, and here he was, with his family.

Blizzardshine was near to the fresh kill pile, cleaning her white fur after she had finished her meal, when she heard Cloverpool’s words. She raised her ears and quickly got up, looking at the interaction she had with the other cats as she padded towards her “Don’t say that, Cloverpool” The white warrior’s voice was as cheerful and calm as always, matching the smile that rarely left her muzzle. She had seen many deaths in her life, but for some reason she always felt that Cloverpool was one of the very few cats that always managed to dodge the sharp claws of death, regardless of the situation, and to be fully honest she was having some trouble accepting that the old she-cat wouldn’t be able to keep doing it soon thanks to her age. She nodded respectfully at the other cats as a greeting before sitting at the elder’s side.

Blacktwig nodded in greeting solemnly towards Blizzardshine, as he did with every cat. Mothkit wasn't going to witness Cloverpool's death as one of the first things she saw; the speckled black tom would make sure of that.

Cloverpool purred. "Your all very sweet but I'm afraid I might, my dears." She meowed.

Mothkit tilted her head and Cloverpool looked down at the kit and winked and she smiled in return.

Blacktwig shook his head, flinching. "No, Cloverpool... You won't. Please don't." He begged.

Cloverpool smiled. "Don't worry. I've lived a full life. Mothkit knows, don't you Mothkit?" Mothkit had often come to the Elder in order to hear all her stories.

Mothkit nodded a grin on her face. "Yep! I practically begged Cloverpool to tell me all her stories of being a warrior!" She meowed.

"I'm sure she did." Blacktwig said, managing to crack the small sliver of a smile onto his face. He glanced at his bouncy daughter.

Mothkit beamed and snuggled up to her dad.

Cloverpool purred. She yawned and laid down but didn't close her eyes, because she didn't wanna worry her family. The rain was still light and picked up a little, but they were warm and safe in this den. I will soon see you my children and grandchildren. I have lived a full life and will now join you shortly. She thought.
