Just a Little Mottled [Closed]

"Oh." Mottledkit's eyes filled with a deep regret, however, she attempted to remain attitude, perky even. She leapt onto a reddish leaf, which had dropped down from a tree's skinny branches heartbeats before. Her hazel gaze gleamed as she looked at Littlekit again.

Littlekit shrugged "But it would still be a pawful" he explained "Is Mothkit a big matter for you?" he asked.

Mottledkit blinked each eye in turn, looking like a lizard with a strange intention. "No? I'm not sure," she mewed. "I guess so." She shut her eyes briefly.

Littlekit purred "Is she nice?" he asked.

"Yeah," Mottledkit replied, with a swift glance towards the nursery. She always knew her sister wasn't all that daring, preferring to be concealed in the nursery rather than going out and taking in the scenery. Mottledkit was the exact opposite.

Littlekit nodded, he waited for the she-cat to bring something up so he wouldn't be asking all the questions.

Eventually she did. Her red-and-white mottled fur was stunning and shimmering in the sunlight. "So, who do you think your mentor will be?" She asked casually, and with surprising maturity.

Littlekit shrugged "I hope the leader or maybe a super good warrior" he mewed.

"Yeah, that would be cool..." Mottledkit sighed dreamily. She slumped down to the ground, resting her tiny head against her white paws, staring up at Littlekit.

Littlekit imagined a strong warrior training him in his head, getting lost in the thought as he just stared at Mottledkit awkwardly, lost.

Mottledkit giggled, prancing around. She then let out a long, exaggerated sigh. "What'cha wanna do?" She asked, leaning forwards and backwards in a somewhat bored rocking motion.

Littlekit shrugged "Got any ideas?" he asked "I mean I like to go sneak out every once in a while and look at the stars during the night but you know, its not night. I also like to kind of look for new duties that warriors do, but don't do, so I'm like their little backup plan" he purred "I also like to find some interesting items like flowers, seeds, you know" he explained.

"Ooh!" Mottledkit exclaimed. A little idea just popped, sparked into her head. She turned up beside Littlekit, that would surely cause a tiny fright. "Maybe, just maybe, we could start a collection of seeds and stems?" She suggested, raising a paw to dodge a thistle threatening her pads.

Littlekit nodded "Sure!" he perked.

Mottledkit laughed and nodded, before leading him away for a bit. "Ya wanna go start?" She asked, tail flicking for him to follow her.
