Unaffected by Words, Free at Heart (Open!)

Mistywater smiled "Well, he was one tough kit" she mewed "He was very cheerful always was patient for his warrior ceremony and didn't really ever complain, he just always tried to do his best and well, I think he did very well as a kit" she mewed with a purr.

A large black speckled tom padded over, smirking. "Well, the patience is true," he purred, gaze flicking between his daughter and mother. "But I really could never stand Featherkit's teasing." He grinned widely, and sat down.

Mottledkit listened intently to Mistywater's words, before turning to her father and staring at him with awe. "Wow!" She exclaimed, in response to both cats' words.

Mistywater rolled her eyes "But you did do a good job and hiding that" she mewed with a calm wink.

Blacktwig shook his head, with a soft chuckle. "Now, did I really?" He asked with disbelief, while his daughter beside him scuffled in the folds of the soil, soft underpaw.

Mistywater shrugged "Looked like it" she mewed "Anyways, have you found any new friends yet, Mottledkit?" she asked.

Blacktwig laughed, sitting down and curling his tail around the base of his paws to hear his daughter's news.

Mottledkit grinned. "Yeah!" She tweeted, tail waving, fur ruffled with excitement. "All of the kits in the nursery!" She bragged, shrugging dismissively as if it weren't such a big feat.

Mistywater nodded "Any crushes yet?" she asked with a large smile, she knew that if Blacktwig were to find out, he might be a little protective, she was going to test his skills on how protective since Mottledkit seems to be always talking about how he is 'over doing it'.

Blacktwig suddenly strained his ears, and perhaps he would even be proud rather than protective. If his daughter was ahead already, she would have a good life.

"Erm..." Mottledkit began, pondering Mistywater's silky smooth words. She looked up, although her head remained hanging downwards. "No...? I don't know... I met this nice kit the other day, though..." She said.

Mistywater nodded as Mottledkit spoke, happy she had a little crush. She purred at Blacktwig's reaction and gave him a reassuring smile.

Blacktwig managed to crack a small smile as well, despite not knowing the identity of the tom. He let out a satisfied purr to chorus with his mother's own, smiling through.

Mottledkit smiled at the two purring cats, and even joined in with a tiny rumble that sounded much more like a trill.

Mistywater looked at the warriors' den and back at the two cats "I sometimes feel like I'm leaving that place soon..." she mewed sadly with a whisker twitching at the thought "You know, with all the elders" she mewed.

"You can't! You're still so young," Blacktwig mewed in desperation. He knew that when cats joined the elders den, it meant their bones got brittle and stiff, and their bodies got frail and weak. He gazed at her for a moment, before his gaze flickered back to Mottledkit, who was scuffling in the grass, not seeming to be hearing their conversation.

Mistywater frowned "I fear I'm already doing that" she mewed.

OOC: OMG she's gonna go through depression. She won't die though :)

Blacktwig sighed. "Don't worry, I'll help. Just, retire when you think you need to, okay?" Blacktwig's tone was adulterated with worry. The tom brushed his fur against his mother's own, fluffy, burnt silver, black and white one. She did look like both Scorchfrost and Pepper, undeniably.

Mistywater nodded "Yeah" she mewed "I know its not my path yet though, I still do miss Swiftheart" she mewed.
