Midnight Gossip (Acrylic/Twitch)

Blacktwig waited outside of the warriors' den for his denmates, Morningshine and Stormstrike. A wide smile spread across his face as he took note of the fact that this would be one of his first nights, excluding his vigil, that he would get to spend time with them as a warrior. It was already clear he was closest to them, as clear as day. Yet his eyes glistened whole-heartedly as he waited for the bluish-grey tom and the fluffy calico she-cat. He didn't seem the slightest bit enervated. Fur-clad prey sometimes came out in the night, too, so he was hoping he could get a few catches. After all, with his neatly-groomed sable pelt, he would be nearly invisible.

The long-furred she-cat padded out of the warriors' den. Most of her denmates were already asleep, and she had had to step over the sleeping feline figures of the warriors. She already felt bad because she had stepped on someone else's tail. She glanced around the camp, looking for her cousin, Blacktwig. When she spotted the tortoiseshell tom, she put on a smile and padded over.
"Hi." She said, lowering her voice so that Blacktwig could hear but so that the other cats in the dens wouldn't be woken up by her.
"Stormstrike is coming, he's just being a dormouse."  She said, with a roll of her blue eyes.

"Hah," sneered Blacktwig jokingly, his tail wagging as if he were an excited canine companion... I mean, dog. "So I guess we're waiting on him now, huh?" He asked sleepily.

Stormstrike headed out of the warriors' den a few moments after his sister did. He had taken his time to get up and dodge around the other sleeping cats in the den. He approached the two, his yellow eyes glinting in the moonlight, "Hey, you two," He greeted, pausing to yawn, "I'm here."

"About time!" Blacktwig retorted teasingly, just about ready to head off. His head swivelled to look at Stormstrike. The night was fresh, and they had plenty of time. "You ready?" He asked.
