| Tawnystorm whipped around as she heard the crash of the badger. She unsheathed her claws, her fur standing on end and glanced frantically at Halfmoon and Reedfang. At Sootpaw, her half-brother. At Ivyfall, her mother.
This badger was not going to hurt those she cared about.
Maybe it was recklessness. Maybe it was the undying loyalty that only she possessed. Maybe it could be seen as cowardly by some. Or maybe it was bravery.
"Run," she hissed, a concerned urgency in her voice. She stood half poised to defend, half poised to run. "We can't take it down. I'm not letting anything happen to any of you. You need to go. Now."

| Sootpaw looked at Tawnystorm, feeling his heart racing inside his chest as his first thought was to obey the warrior and start running away from the badger, but his paws didn’t move at all as he looked at the other warriors, he knew he had to run, that he was no match for a badger even with so many warriors backing him up, but he didn’t want to just leave everyone behind, he would either run with them or fight with them and there was nothing that could change his mind. ______________________________________ Stormkit
