A Thunderclan Hunting Party (Open)

Blazingleap purred as he sat upon a thick, low hanging tree branch. The wind lightly blew past, ruffling what it could of his short red fur. He was now a warrior, and it felt good to be out of camp without any mentor nagging him. The muscular tom leaped off of the tree branch and sniffed the air for prey. Enough wasting time. Blazingleap wanted to do something productive.

Frozenflame was patroling the borders near by when he heard the soft sound of pawsteps leaping down onto the forest floor. The deputy followed the sound to find Blazingleap, the child of his ex-mate and Sunpelt, sniffing the air. The tom felt a stab of pain in his heart, for Blazingleap looked almost exactly like Frozenflame's dead father, Blazingheart. "Would you like to hunt?" He asked as he stepped toward the new warrior. "I bet we can find a few others to come with us."

Mosspaw was out on one of her usual wanderings, though she rarely did it in daylight as she did now. She carried a mouse in her jaws, one that she was intending to bring back to camp, when she heard pawsteps nearby. She quickly dropped and buried the mouse at the foot of a tree, making a mental note of where it was. She swiftly padded closer, and she could see it was Blazingleap and Frozenflame She realised she had nothing better to do, and went up to them. She could always come back out here and think later - maybe it was time she was productive. As she approached she overheard Frozenflame speak.
"Mind if I come along?" she asked, as she stepped out of the shade of the trees, beside the pair. She had a quirky but eager smile across her face.

Pinepaw lifted his head from where he had been laid, thinking. He joined the other cats, giving his mentor a respectful look and Mosspaw a blank one. He did not turn an eye towards the unknown cat. "I shall come, as well. If I may." he said, staring around absently as he spoke.

Morningshine had been taking a walk through the forest. It had been peaceful and quiet, until she heard speaking and noises off in the distance. She assumed it was a ThunderClan cat, or more than one, and headed towards the noise. When she emerged out of a bush, all the faces she saw were familiar. Thank goodness...Morningshine didn't feel like confronting a stranger or a tresspasser. She padded towards them, putting a bright smile on her muzzle.
"Hi!" She said, dipping her head respectfully towards Frozenflame and flicking her ear with greeting towards Blazingleap and the other apprentices, "Are you gathering a patrol? Mind if I tag along?" She asked.

Blazingleap turned as the deputy emerged from the underbrush. How was Frozenflame even related to him? Maybe an ex-stepfather? The tom shrugged it off and nodded. "Yes, Frozenflame, I was just about to go for a hunt." He smiled, then heard others padding toward them. Soon, four of their clanmates had appeared. "Greetings Mosspaw, Pinepaw, Amberpaw, and Morningshine," Blazingleap purred as he nodded to each one of them. He didn't really know any of them that well, but he remembered seeing the apprentices around when he slept in the den with them. He was new to the warrior's den, so he wasn't acquainted with Morningshine yet.

Frozenflame nodded, then turned his attention to the four who joined them. "Hello, you may all come along," he purred happily. His gaze then locked on his apprentice. "Pinepaw, it's nice to see you out and about. Is this your sister?" He asked, transferring his eyes to Amberpaw. The tom started to walk as he spoke, heading toward a great hunting spot.

Blackpaw leapt up, his speckled sable fur ruffled slightly. "May I come?" He questioned politely, sitting down and grooming his fur. His expression did not shift as he examined the cats that may be accompanying him on the patrol, and his tail-tip flicked dismissively. His bright blue orbs noticed Blazingleap, the new warrior, and he cogitated, simply wondered, if he could ever follow in his pawsteps one day.

Blizzardshine padded out from the warrior’s den, smiling as usual as she noticed the growing group of cats that Blazingleap and Frozenflame were gathering, it was big enough already, but she wondered if they would allow one more warrior to join. Her paws calmly guided her towards the other cats, her long white fur standing out from the greenery that surrounded them during this time of the year “Is there room for another cat in your group?” She asked politely.

Blackpaw glanced over his shoulder, at the chalky white she-cat approaching the cats. "I'd hope so," He purred in greeting, waving his tail enjoyably. The apprentice was always quite fond of Blizzardshine; the very she-cat who had assisted his mentor, and grandfather, in facing the Dark Forest, and one of the first warriors he had met.

Pinepaw gave the ground a blank look before turning a cold expression towards his mentor. "Yes, this is my beloved sister, Amberpaw." he said, is voice as cold as his stare at the deputy. He didn't throw his sister a single look as she added, with a face of fake embarrassment. "Flattering." she hissed.

"Did you really think you'd be leaving without me?"
The speaker was Stormstrike. He padded over to the rather large group. Noticing the deputy was apart of the patrol, he glanced at him with a look of respect. He then grinned at the others. He sat beside his sister Morningshine. The young ThunderClan warrior glanced at Pinepaw and Amberpaw, wondering what the coldness was all about. He inched closer to Morningshine. He would definitely never act like that with her.

Blackpaw smiled at Stormstrike. "Greetings, Stormstrike!" He mewed, formally, yet with a hint of excitement. He had been present at the grey tom's warrior ceremony, and was eager to witness his hunting skills. He stayed at Blizzardshine's side, yet his watchful blue gaze remained on Stormstrike.

"Ay," Mosspaw nodded at Blackpaw, before greeting the others are which had gathered now. "I think we have enough to set off." She began padding along the forest floor, her pawsteps silent as always.

Blizzardshine nodded and padded out of camp, following Mosspaw. Usually apprentices waited for the warriors to lead, so she was intrigued by the young she-cat’s decision to take the role on her own paws. She stopped just a second or two to look at the remaining cats, beckoning them to follow with a flick of her tail.

Blackpaw bounded after the exiting group eagerly, mainly following Blizzardshine's lead. Soon, he fell in step beside her, flicking his ears as he tilted his head to glance at her. "How have you been lately?" He asked, hints of eccentric flavour slithering into his tone. He lifted his head and opened his jaws, another scent seeping into the familiar, strong, ThunderClan one. He crept closer, following the group.

"The same as always," she smirked. "Well, I found another nice spot out here last night, on a tall rock surrounded by some brambles. Not too far off from Snakerocks. I can show you this evening if you'd like." Mosspaw picked up her pace ever so slightly, not caring in the least that it was warriors meant to lead the group. "How've you been, then?"
