What A Fluff Ball! [OPEN INTRO TOPIC]

Adderkit pawed at the ground, he had been born not to long ago and was pretty small as a kit. He sighed, his fluffy black and hidden brown spots pulled down from the tongue of his mother, he always wanted to meet other cats, maybe an apprentice or warrior, maybe a kit. His mother never let him go out much since he was still a new born. Every day he would watch as other kits got to run out of the SkyClan nursery and race around, he would try to get his mothers brain to looked at it and approve of the choice, but she would always look at him like he was some idiot and have a certain glint in her eyes while saying the words she always said to him when he asked the question "When you get older, its like your forcing yourself to grow. Like a seed of a flower needs to bloom, your watering and giving it too much sun to grow, trying to make it bloom faster" Adderkit never really would understand. He saw himself as a ready to become apprentice kit, six moons and ready to go out and play with the kits. He was more intelligent than his mother thought. He kenw most of the warrior code and everything to becoming an apprentice and warrior, but I guess everyone saw him differently and intelligence didn't matter to them. He sighed, waiting for a kit from SkyClan to notice him, not as some kit who is more silly and misbehaved as the over kits, but to see him as a kit who wants to meet someone new and learn to see what he was really like.

Runningkit sat alone in the nursery, examining a paw. He looked up to see Adderkit getting groomed by his mother. The gray tom never had that luxury, his own mother left the nursery the moon after he was born. Her 'warrior duties' were calling. The kit didn't really have much friends, and he spent most of his time wandering the camp aimlessly, taking it all in. Runningkit probably could make friends if he wanted to, but the gray tom hadn't really tried yet. Twitching his whiskers, he padded over to Adderkit. "Uh...Hello." Runningkit began, blinking slowly. "Wanna go exploring with me?"

Adderkit looked at the grey tom and looked at his mother, she soon nodded and let her tail go of him. He stood up and slowly moved forward him, he sat down. Pulling up his fur to make his fluff stand out. He curled his tail around him "Sure, wait are we going to explore?" he asked.

"Honestly I haven't thought of that yet..." Runningkit admitted, narrowing his eyes in thought. "What about climbing a tree?"

Adderkit nodded "Eh sure" he mewed, knowing Runningkit was a newer kit like him in the nursery. He and Runningkit would probably not be very great at doing it, but it would be fun to try with a kit mostly his age.

"Great!" He crooned, glancing at the kit's mother, then back to Adderkit. "Your mum's not gonna claw our ears of if we do that right?"

He nodded, his tail twitching a the thought. He looked back at her and back at Runningkit "We can....Lie...." He mewed, something he had never done in his life though...He was scared, what if they were caught doing it? He shook out the thought "But what about?" he asked Runningkit.

Runningkit smiled slyly. "Your mum's not gonna kill us if we climb a tree...I mean, we're Skyclan for Starclan's sake. Now lets get a move on before she submits us to more grooming sessions!"

Adderkit nodded, feeling more of a rebel for once. It was weird though...He didn't want to become more of a soggy wet fluff ball. He looked towards a big tree nodded "I think we can climb this one!" he explained to Runningkit, the two had already had a few things in common and Adderkit wasn't going to let that out of his head for a long time, it was nice to have a friend for once. But some day they might split up and become madly crossed with each other. He didn't know really if Runningkit accepted him as a friend but he sure knew he accepted him.

"Brilliant!" Runningkit began to clamber up the tree's trunk, glancing back at Adderkit periodically. The climb was hard, and Runningkit's tiny kit claws could hardly break into the bark, but he would never admit failure. Especially not in front of his new friend. "Come on you big fluff ball!" The grey tom squeaked to Adderkit, smiling wildly. "You're missing out on the party!"

Adderkit smiled awkwardly, he leaped, his fur almost pulling him down. He wasn't very used to his wet fur holding him down instead of it being completely different, he leaped up on a small branch that was close to the ground and a high amount up in the tree. He smiled as he began to climb a bit higher on the tree, he looked down, seeing pretty much half the camp, it didn't scare him though. He wished there was at least one cat that would try catch them, it would be pretty fun to adventure out of the camp and look at the forest during night with Runningkit "Who's missing out now!" he laughed, smiling for pretty much the first time.

Runningkit flicked his tail over Adderkit's ears in response. The grey kit was beginning to say something until he got the view of the camp. "I'd be lying if I said I wasn't amazed..." Runningkit breathed, grabbing hold of a sturdy branch jutting out from the trunk. The cats down below were totally oblivious to the kits above their heads, camouflaged by bushels of leaves. "Adderkit do you see this? It's like we're birds!"

Adderkit still looked in the layout of the forest while he spoke "Were not able to fly Runningkit, cats can't do that" he mewed, his voice sounded like he was teasing Runningkit, which was pretty true. He leaped onto a branch, his straight amber eyes staring at everything there was to look at at the top of the forest. He promised himself he wouldn't try to fall, but that promise wasn't so safe.

"We can always try..." Runningkit crooned, balancing on his hind paws to leap to the next branch up, shaking the top of the tree in the process. "Look at meeeee, I'm a bird" The grey tom squeaked, swatting at a leaf with his paw.

Adderkit rolled his eyes with a tiny smile, honestly, any kit would try to ignore what the cat had just said and try and make them even more annoyed by doing exactly what the cat had said was annoying or not what to do. Adderkit knew that for sure he doesn't do that. He looked down at camp, hoping no cat saw them.
