Well... Now what? (Closed for all those who were exiled)

Ashwing ran from the Gathering and kept running. She needed to get out of the territories as quickly as possible. It pained her to leave her Clan, it really did, but they obviously didn't want her anymore. And those who did would follow her. There was nothing more she could have done... Was there? No, I did the best I could for my Clan. This was their choice, to accept the Dark Forest's rule. Oh, StarClan...

Eventually, she crossed the final scent marker and found herself in Twolegplace. She stopped, sides heaving, in a dirty alleyway that stank of crowfood, and promptly threw up. It felt like she was pushing everything inside her out. Trembling, she collapsed down on the filthy stones and tried to staunch some of her worst wounds, fearing that her blood loss might soon be too great for her to stay conscious. Emberleaf, I need you. Smokepelt, Cedarfur, Lightfoot, Icestorm, where are you? Kestrelstorm, Palefoot, Breezeheart, Spiderfur, Flashstorm... A snarl curled her lips. Saltpelt...


Did no one follow me? Not even my own Clan? Am I... that bad a leader?

Frozenflame had left the gathering with the others, silently slipping out to follow Ashwing. He didn't know why he had ran after her, but he had done so anyway. He knew that if Thunderclan was loyal, they would follow him. He knew that if Darkstar was a good leader, she would leave the gathering with the rest of the exiled cats. Frozenflame didn't look back, couldn't look back. He knew that if he did, he would remember that he was abandoning Ploverkit. He had no choice, and he told one of the queens he trusted to take care of him for him. Ploverkit was in good hands, as long as the Dark Forest didn't corrupt him.

Frozenflame knew what cats were in which clan and what rank they were. It was just something a deputy knew. If a cat wanted to be a good leader, he or she memorized who was who at the gatherings. Because of this, Frozenflame knew that Ashwing was Windclan's deputy and their current leader....or once current leader. "Emberleaf stayed behind...he couldn't make the trip out...his wounds were too deep and....he said he was too old. He wanted me to....let you know that....he'll watch out for the clan while you are gone," the deputy said in between breaths. He was weak and about ready to collapse.

ic: Aspenpaw followed Frozenflame out of the gathering and finally into this stinking alley, but at least he could rest. He didn't say anything. He was too tired. It took all he had to keep his eyes open. He knew he couldn't sleep right now. where are we gonna stay.. What are we gonna do? he thought hopelessly. He looked to Ashwing and then to Frozenflame, wondering what they were thinking. He missed his sisters, but he hoped they stayed. They'll be safer if they stay. he thought to himself. He sat down to start to look over his wounds.

Ashwing nodded shakily. It was a blow to have lost Emberleaf, but she trusted him to take care of the rest of WindClan. She nodded at the apprentice, and craned her head back to see if anyone else would come.

Vixenpaw and Frostedpaw emerged from one the nearby bushes. The filthy scent of twolegplace both making them gag. They both knew that they weren't apart of WindClan, so it was kind of awkward to be in the presence of Ashwing and Frozenflame.

Vixenpaw didn't know if any other SkyClan cats had left, and she might have been the only one. She couldn't wander around alone, even though she was close to being a warrior. She didn't know how rogues did it, surviving alone out here in twolegplace...she settled herself on the ground again, tired and in pain from going so far with the wounds she had.

Frostedpaw knew that most cats that had converted had been from ShadowClan. She didn't even get to tell Rainpaw goodbye. She lowered her head, hoping that Rainpaw would have some sort of sense and leave ShadowClan once the evil cats returned to the camp. She licked at a cut on her shoulder, her tail drooping.

Ferretshine's scarred face turned around the alleyway. She looked at Mudfoot sadly. She had nobody left. Nobody... The former ShadowClan warrior hoped that Mudfoot, in his weakened state, was not too exhausted. "Well," she said to the congregation, "Is this it? Can we ever go home? Because, if we can't, I'd at least like to get to know everyone I'll be spending my exile with." She knew as well as anyone that they were scraping the bottom of the bin for hope, but she couldn't admit that to herself. She had to stay bright and happy for the good of everyone. It was beginning to eat at her.

Smokepelt ran with the group of exciled cats, although he started to fall towards the end of the group. He couldn't believe what had happened and where was Sablestar? Well, forget her, she didn't help her clan in time of need, they would have to make it without her. They were shocked when Ashwing headed towards the twolegged's place, but kept quiet. I guess there's no ther choice. The grey tom thought to himself, half angrily, half confused. Finally reaching a place to stay, he sat down on the cold and stiff ground, wincing at the sights and smells. Everything smelt of crowfood and twolegs, Smokepelt didn't know if he would be able to stay cramped in this alley much longer. "Ashwing," he meowed softly, looking from the pathetic group of cats to the deputy.

Well, this wasn't how he'd expected the night to go at all. First exiled, now in an twoleg alley that stunk of crowfood. The tom sat down next to Ferretshine, his head hung low from saddness and pain. "I don't know how long we'll be here, but once we get our strength back, I promise that our territory won't go to those foxhearts without a fight," he growled, angry that everything happened the way it did. The clan cats had no choice but to surrendure, for the DarkForest was extremly powerful, and he wondered why.

Ashwing looked up at her son's voice. "Thank StarClan you made it," she breathed. She took a deep, staggering breath, then hoisted herself up. "I know you have come here from multiple different Clans, and that you are all exhausted, but we must make the besdt of this situation. While we are here, I expect you all to live as a Clan and follow the warrior code. We can set borders and hunt, and warriors can help train the apprentices  but keep in mind that we will all be here temporarily. Unless any leaders or other deputies join our group, Frozenflame and I will lead together." She looked at the assembled cats. "If that is okay with you all. I am open up to any suggestions."

Frostedpaw nodded, she was fine with that ides. As long as she could still be trained and earn a warrior name soon, she was okay with whatever this group did. She noticed that Vixenpaw, who was beside her, was looking dejected and pitiful between her wounds and her facial expression.
"Are you okay....? Er," Frostedpaw asked, pausing because she didn't know Vixenpaw's name.

Vixenpaw looked up, "I'm fine." She said, not even bothering to share her name with Frostedpaw. The ginger and white she-cat looked up at the ShadowClan apprentice briefly, before looking back at Ashwing with admiration in her eyes.
Ashwing is a true leader...WindClan should be proud to have her...I don't know why some of them decided to join the Dark Forest. Then again, I don't know why any Clan cat would join the Dark Forest...especially Crowstar.

Aspenpaw nodded at Ashwing's suggestion. It sounded like a good idea and this way he'd be able to keep training and become a warrior still.

Ferretshine picked up on Mudfoot's pained expression quickly, licking his cheek in comfort. "Does anyone know anything about herbs... at all? We've all got wounds from the battle." She began to feel the pain in her sides where Lightningpaw had-

Lightningpaw. Her heart ached, and she desperately tried to hide the tears in her eyes as they found a place falling down her cheeks.

Wrenpaw, realizing she had come a little late, stayed silent and sat down. Her wounds stung and her paws felt numb. She sat down, letting out a breath.

Cloudpaw followed hurriedly behind, although he had no clue who he was following exactly. To his surprise, the hard, rock ground didn't hurt his paws as much as he'd expected. Noticing that the group had stopped, the apprentice realized that he was probably the only Riverclan cat there. The darkness after leaving the ruined Gathering become much more pronounced to him, and he looked up to see the dead moon still hanging above them. The black tom jumped up onto some sort of silvery tree stump, and it wobbled dangerously under his paws. He let out a squeak of surprise and froze, having expected it to be fixed to the ground. It was very cold to the touch too, something that was very foreign to him.

What was this beside him? Was it supposed to be a.. den? What kind of creature needed such a big place to sleep? He peered through the sheet of ice fixed inside the den wall, fluffy white tail flickering as he watched some hairless creature sleepily lumber around, and ducked when it turned to look it him. 'Did it see me?' The medicine cat raised his head up slightly, ears back. It had left. "Do we have to worry about them?" He moved up to sit on the lip of the wall, and was surprised that the glass wasn't cld to the touch. Things were really backward here.

Frozenflame listened to Ashwing's words intently, then nodded. "Listen, I know that Thunderclan may not be the easiest clan to deal with. Many think that we are prideful and act upon our own self-righteousness, and I will tell you right now; it is true. Yes, we hold pride in our clan, but I want to change the way we act because of it and how it affects all of you. Today, I ask that no grudges will be held against me or Thunderclan for our hostility and stupidity. The past is in the past, and we must worry about right now if we are to survive. I see Shadowclan, Riverclan, Windclan, and Skyclan mixed with my own clan before me and Ashwing. Starclan, wherever they are, must be watching over us, because even I am not stupid enough to think that they would just abandon us. I truly believe they are still somewhere in the sky, and we must unite, become stronger, and fight to get our home back for the sake of our warrior ancestors, our friends, our loved ones, and our children who we could not take with us because of Morningstar and the others who destroyed the clans." Frozenflame was thinking of Ploverkit, his son, as he spoke. "Does anyone object?"

He waited a brief moment, not really expecting an answer, before he turned to Ashwing. "Let me know if there is something I do or say that you do not agree with. Let's be open with each other; it's the only way we can survive. Secrets and lack of trust lead to destruction," he murmured gently. Frozenflame gazed at her with saddened amber eyes, ones that were hardened over many years of loss and heartbreak. He didn't want to seem like a control freak, and he didn't want too much power, either. Sharing leadership equally with Ashwing may turn into a disaster, but as long as Ashwing's faith in Starclan lasted and she was leading right, Frozenflame would back down if two leaders became too much.
