The rising of a sun

It was cold. Sunkit shivered, his tiny, fluffy body curling up. He didn't know this part of the forest. Anyone he knew, was clearly no longer here. He didn't know how to hunt or fight. He didn't know where he came from, and neither would anyone else. Hopefully, he thought, a cat would find him, something would find him. But now, there was nothing left to do but to curl up and waits for death's call.

Crowstar was moving about the territory, doing some thinking and some hunting at the same time. It was always tough on the leader trying to determine what to do, and what was best for his clan, so alone time was the best option for him to get stuff done. Though he didn't know his alone time would soon be over. The leader was going to walk by the small kit if it wasn't for his ginger fur standing out. The leader approached the kit, and poked him softly with a paw to check if he was still alive. "Are you alright little one?" He asked, fearing that the kit was dead.

Sunkit scrambled to his feet, his green eyes flooded with both relief and fear. "W-who are you?"

The leader was a bit surprised by the kits reaction, but he didn't know what the kit had been through so he should have guessed a reaction like this would come from it. "I'm Crowstar, leader of Skyclan. May I ask who you are?"

The golden kit relaxed a little. It was a Clan leader - he felt a little safer. "I am honoured to meet you, Crowstar," he said respectfully. He wasn't really sure what a Clan leader did, but he guessed they were important. "My name is Sunkit. I don't know how I got here, and I don't know where I come from."

Another kit huh? He had two show up the other day.. Where were they coming from? The leader frowned. The kit only smelled like Skyclan so it was impossible to tell if he was from another clan. Guess Crowstar would have to take him in. "Well Sunkit would you like to come stay with my clan?"

Sunkit gave a small nod. His eyes were huge, and had a glint of excitement.

Crowstar felt some happiness in his that the kit was no longer afraid. "Alright come on, we have to head to camp. Follow me if you can, if you can't make it, then I will carry you alright?" The leader said. He gave one last look around then turned to start heading for camp, glancing back to make sure the kit was following.

Sunkit quickly gave himself a lick and padded after Crowstar. He had not expected today to take a turn like this, but he was incredibly grateful to the black tom. "Thank you.." he quietly mewed.
