Dawnkit's first day out [Open to ThunderClan's kits

Dawnkit's natural curiosity for nature had been overwhelming her since she was born. And now she was going to use it. She padded around the nursery, waking up all her friends. "Come on, let's play!"

Wishkit blinked, yawning.
"It would be appreciated if you wouldn't shout so loudly..." She said to Dawnkit. Wishkit flattened her ears against her head, and stood up, stretching. What's the point of trying to sleep again? She'd be woken up by the other kits after all.

Dawnkit's smirked in a kitten-like way. "Come on. Let's explore! Anyone else who wants to join, we'll be ouside the barn door!" she announced. She bounded outside the makeshift nursery, waving her tail at Wishkit, signaling her to follow, almost sure that Wishkit would say

Once outside, Dawnkit stared around in wonder. I never knew the world was so big! Trying to seem like she had already known what it would look like, she said calmly, "So, where do you want to explore? The field? No one would ever find us there! She started bounding toward the field, almost sure Wishkit would say yes.

Not wanting to disappoint Blaze kit, she just followed her.
"Uh. Sure! Why not!"
She knew she shouldn't be out here without an older cat...but this was a chance to make a new friend.

Dawnkit purred, and bounded ahead to the field. Wow, it's huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although her mom and dad had told her stories about the world, she had never quite imagined it to be like this. She had only ever managed to picture it as a thousand nurseries in a row but with older cats and Twolegs sleeping inside.

The field's tall straw stalks rose up into the air way above Dawnkit's head. Thousands of new smells hit her scent glands, and excitement thrilled through her. "Wow! This is so cool! Wishkit, have you ever been outside the nursery?" she asked over her shoulder at Wishkit as she plunged into the field. The stalks of stiff grass prickled against her paws. She let out a slight his of annoyance.

ooc; should anything dramatic happen? Probably, because otherwise the topic would be boring. How about they encounter a dangerous something-or-other? They would escape, of course, but it would keep this topic exciting.

OOC: Good idea. Maybe they can encounter a fox cub? A fox would devour them on contact...a cub would be more reasonable.

IC: She glanced around, her eyes wide.
Gosh, this field sure is huge...
She then shook her head, "No, I must admit that I've never left the nursery before...it quite comforting if I do say so myself." She said matter-of-factly.
She winced as pollen flew into her nose, and she let out a tiny sneeze.
"In speaking of nursery...m-maybe we should head back. We might get caught, and that would be bad..."

Even though she was a good kit, she couldn't help but be amazed at the land that stretched out before her. It was if it was yelling for those two kits to explore it. She desperately wanted to...but she knew she would be in so much trouble if Cloverpool found her here.

Dawnkit shrugged. "If you want to go back, that's fine with me. But I'm  gonna keep going." Dawnkit bounded ahead. Suddenly,  a strange,  strong smell hit her scent glands. What's that?... probably just a mouse, she told herself. But she had a sneaking suspicion that it WAS NOT a mouse. Something moved in the prickly grass stalks around her. "Um... Wishkit?" she whispered nervously.

Wishkit had been turning to go, but when she heard rustling grass, she turned around and padded up next to Dawnkit. She could smell something too...but it couldn't be something tiny like prey...prey didn't make that much grass move at once.
"Yes, Dawnkit...?" She quietly answered.

OOC: could Cloverpool find them? She won't be mad because she and Sunpelt did this same sorta thing when they were kits so long ago

OOC: Sure, I guess you could hold back the fox cub while Dawnkit and I escape and then once you stun the fox you come and make sure Dawn and I are okay...Is that okay with you, Blaze?

IC: She should've never left the safety of the Abandoned Barn. She knew that lots of scary animals besides cats were out in the fields and that's why kits weren't allowed to leave the nursery. She crouched beside Dawnkit, shivering with fear.

Dawnkit shivered. "There's something out there. .. Suddenly a huge black nose appeared in the grass stalks in front of her, and then a muzzle slowly appeared. Normally she would've run back to the barn, but her warrior instincts told her to keep the creature away from her Clan. "Run!" she screeched at Wishkit. She raced past the scary creature, parallel to the edge of the field until she was well enough away. But without stopping, she turned to her left and headed farther into the field, trusting that the grass stalks would hide her from view of teRaible creamer. But where was Wishkit? She turned around, knowing that she had to help her Clanmate, no matter how weak and tiny she was. "Wishkit?!?!?!!!!!?????" she called in a loud whisper, hoping not to attract attention from the creature. Her whole body was trembling, her fluffy down fur standing on end, her heart beating furiously.

Wishkit was face to face with a fox cub, even though it was a cub, it was way bigger than any cat, especially her. She took in a deep breath, and exhaled slowly, her eyes growing wider with fear. She seemed paralyzed. She knew that Dawnkit had told her to run, but she was so afraid, she felt like she couldn't make her paws move her anywhere.
"Eep..." She let out in a tiny, soft little squeak.

ooc; oh, and yes, that's fine. ;)

ic; Dawnkit couldn't see Wishkit anywhere. Wishkit! Dawnkit raced back through the field, trying to find her way back. But the field was endless, and soon she lost all sense of direction. She screeched in fright. "Help! Help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she screamed in terror. Her nose was developed enough to find her way back by scent. Wishkit's scent was still in her memory, and she kept thinking she was smelling it when really it was just her imagination. I hope Wishkit is okay! she thought nervously. She circled around, but that obviously didn't help her situation. She kept crying for help, but eventually fell to the ground in exhaustion, sadness, and regret. I wish I hadn't ever come here... And now Wishkit is in danger because of me! I have to help her.. And she pushed herself to her paws, determined to find her new friend.

ooc2; Okay, Cloverpool, this is your cue. You can come and help Wishkit, and when the fox is gone you guys can come find poor, lost Dawnkit on her way to find Wishkit (but she'll be going in the wrong direction, FYI).

The small cream-colored kit continued to have a "stare-off" with the fox cub. But then, the silence was broken when the fox cub raised it's paw to swat at her. With a high-pitched screech, she ducked under it's paw, heading away from it in some random direction. She didn't know where she was going. She could feel the hot breath of the fox on her back, which made her knew it was close. Fear powered her energy, and she just ran faster. She had nowhere to hide, nothing to throw, nothing to do, and she couldn't fight. She was helpless. All she could do was run. The sharper edges of the tall blades of grass scraped at her fur, and she yelped every time. She made a sharp turn to the left, which made the fox have to stop clumsily, turn left, and go after her.
Even though Wishkit had managed to slow down the fox, it soon caught up to her very easily.
"Dawnkit!" She screamed, "Help!"

Dawnkit had paused her random wandering to catch her breath when she heard a far-off scream. Wishkit!!! She bounded in the direction of the voice. "Wishkit!" she yowled. "I'm coming!" Her legs were pumping furiously beneath her (but she was going only, like 3 mph), her heart pounding more rapidly than ever before, her long tail streaming behind her. "Wishkit, where are you???"

ooc; wanna use the battle system? Kits can only do Front Paw Blow, but fox moves are cooler, and then Cloverpool can join in.
